In my case, I have December 2018 pre-order but still, no delivery window as I originally ordered the Max Pack and then changed to the standard back in November of last year. They said then that I would be "eligible" for an "early 2022" delivery but despite a few phone calls to Rivian I just continue to get a run-around and no delivery window. Then yesterday I got the First Mile invite. Frankly, I am not sure even Rivian knows how this all works but at least it is some progress.

No invite here, but I have an R1S preorder with a June/July delivery estimate.

I‘ve now seen 4 Rivians in the wild around me. In addition to the Rivian Blue around town and a Launch Green, I spotted a white R1T on I-15 today driving into SLC from Davis County and a black R1T driving around Sugarhouse the other day.

Finally some excitement.

Super cool. My kid has seen a couple at school. El Cap and Launch Green.

If they have some sitting out front (which they usually do these days), you can actually touch and feel them - they aren’t behind a fence. Guys inside may even open one up for you. They won’t, however, let you go into the service area where most of the trucks are usually located as they are being prepped for delivery.

No Fences. You can walk right up to them. On another note, I had my test drive on Saturday. Was awesome. The Truck is amazing. Hoping a Guide contact is imminent.

I did chat with a cs rep today asking about how I could get my first mile test drive.. she said my zip code was in the right area but had no clue as to when they'd reach out to schedule one. I told her I'd even drive to them for the test drive.. she noted it but I didn't feel a wind of change that it would help speed things along. Great to hear the drive was awesome. What color was your test vehicle? I've seen some people change the color away from blue after seeing it... but I've also heard it's pretty sunning in person.

Can you comment how it compares to your Mach E? When you have to run a quick errand do you lean towards the R1T or the Mach E? I know it's a little unfair as the Rivian is new.. but curious about your thoughts.

I've always driven a truck, so I prefer the Rivian. I also really like the regenerative braking on the Rivian. I set mine on high and with the four motors it is really strong. I get in the Mach E and have to remember to hit the friction brakes sometimes because it is quite different. Both are outstanding vehicles and I wouldn't hesitate to buy either one again. It's a great situation when you have those two to choose from. I basically take whichever one the kids aren't parked behind

No. I have heard you can see it before they reach out on the website. I have been checking each day and noticed my guide's name in the contact section of the site.

Well just got my first drive reservation! Next Tuesday I finally get to drive one! Feels like a really long time coming.
