Does anyone have a guide contact, yet? I saw my first Rivian in person on 215 heading north towards the service center on Friday. Was a quick glance, but definitely got me pumped up for delivery.

While I was taking pics, two employees (Dallas and Steven) came out and greeted me. Super nice guys and were very accommodating and willing to answer questions. They even took me inside and showed me the waiting area.

A few things I learned:
All in all a pretty exciting day for me. It was my first chance to see one up close and personal. I was in SLC on a Costco run. After my visit to Rivian I filled my 4Runner with Costco gas at $4.20/gallon. My Rivian can’t get here fast enough!
- They’ve already delivered “several” trucks from the SLC service center
- They have more trucks coming in almost daily
- The ones I saw and photoed in the parking lot were overflow since they’d run out of space inside. I was told there were “several” more inside being prepped for delivery. The ones outside had just come off the truck.
- All of the trucks outside had black mountain interior.
- The manager graciously allowed me to climb around in her truck (launch green with black mountain). I wasn’t turned off at all by black mountain interior, which is making me lean even more towards changing from Forest edge. Steven said he’d seen forest edge on a pre-prod truck and if it were him he’d wait for it.
- He said I should still be on track for May-June delivery even if I stay with Forest edge. I took that with a grain of salt. Until I hear of people actually getting Forest edge trucks, I’m going to assume they are somehow supply constrained on it and it could very well cause me additional delays. Thus I’m leaning hard towards switching.
- Their pre-delivery inspection includes inspecting all panel gaps and they adjust things at the service center if needed to make it “near perfect”.
- Truck comes standard with a tire patch kit. Maybe I already knew this and just didn’t care that much since I will definitely get a full size spare (most likely cheap aftermarket).
- They should be scheduling drive events for SLC area s00n. I asked if they were going to do an open house at the service center like they did in Denver and he said he wasn’t aware of any plans for that.
This is great progress!Went by again today. Lots of trucks!

My brother went by yesterday. About 20 new trucks there. Happy to say one of them is MINE. Just waiting to schedule delivery. This is great progress!
I went by 1 week ago and the only truck there was the managers—Launch green plugged in next to the door—but no signs of other trucks.
My wife and I looked around for several minutes. One of the guys inside waved but never came out, since he seemed glued to the TV!
Congrats! My brother went by yesterday. About 20 new trucks there. Happy to say one of them is MINE. Just waiting to schedule delivery.
