I waited, now I have a VIN and am going through the 8 step process. Getting close.

Does the Adventure package come with anything in the gear tunnel doors?
Air compressor hose on one side, first aid kit on the other.

It seems to me the differences are:

Included in Launch Edition:
  • dashboard badge that reads "Launch Edition"
  • option to choose exclusive Launch Green color
  • Launch Edition has equipped with our 300+ mile Large pack
  • with all benefits of the Adventure Package
  • 21 in. wheel comes standard. With Launch Edition, you're also able to select some wheels and tire options at no additional cost
I assume there should be no difference in range? If so and going with 21 in tires, then the differences seem all cosmetic. Am I missing something?

If you had access to the R1 Shop and liked two identical trucks..however one was a launch edition and the other was and Adventure edition(non Launch edition)..which one would you choose? Difference in price is $500. Also, would you perfer a newer built truck (Adventure) as opposed to a Launch edition, which i am assuming was built a lot earlier..i.e. has there been any noticeable upgrade since the launch edition. Thanks

I recently saw and chose a new 2023 LE R1T in the shop that has VIN 239xx. It’s a current build with all that entails. It does NOT have the powered tonneau cover and the base price is reduced accordingly. LE and Adventure are super similar other than the Launch Green paint option and the included upgrades. My new 2023 LE adds the RUS and will still be ~$2500 less than my original Adventure edition. ??

-$1800 wheels upgrade cost -$2000 Forest edge interior -$1500 PTC +$2000 RUS +$800 MTC

Launch Editions make a lot of sense if you want Launch Green or the upgraded wheels, since neither costs extra.

i think once Rivian becomes more establish and the ratio of Adventure to LE gets larger, the LE will end up retaining a higher value as it becomes more rare.

Exactly what I did with my R1S.
  • Original Build (Reserved): ADV/GW/OC/20" AT ($77,300).
  • Purchased Build (Shop): LE/GW/OC/20"AT ($75,500).
With the LE, I got the same build but saved $1,800 over the Adventure (cost of 20" AT tire/wheel upgrade that is included with LE) & got the wristband key.

LE saves you money if you want LG paint and/or non-dark 20" or 22" wheels and tires. Otherwise, the only "value" to LE builds is the included wristband key (minimal value to me) & LE badging (no value to me).

I think the only way the LE has a higher value is if someone wants the LG exterior paint. Other than that the LE vs ADV trim is 99.9% identical

Is the wristband key available to Adventure orders???? A service center order I presume?
