Does any one else think it is odd that we can vent windows through the phone app, but nothing on the huge car screen that vents the windows?

Not really. You have 4 buttons to the left of you that allow you to vent the windows. Use the app feature all the time and never thought about a shortcut inside the vehicle to do it. Where would you want it? The same screen as pet mode, carwash, etc?

^ Exactly. The solution is right at your finger tips on the left. The vent feature in the app is for remote activation, when you are not near your car.

You guys are so much more adept than myself. I can spend several minutes trying to get the windows just right without them going all the way sown then all the way up. And to do it for each window. Just like the application in the app and think it should be on the "open" (frunk, tailgate, tunnel, etc) screen.

The key is make sure you soft press them instead of pressing them all the way down which is the auto-down.

Right. It's a 2-stage switch. Once calibrated, the first stage stops as soon as you let go of the switch. Second stage is express up/down.

Calibration: Lift (or press) and hold first stage of switch until you observe the glass jog quickly and slightly up and down. Blink and you could miss it. Another method to calibrate is through the hidden RiDE service menu, which has been discussed in the past and can be found via forum search.

Just speed dial your wife and tell her to do it.

Bmw convertibles have a fifth button to control all windows at once either partial or full drop

I would be happy if the app vent windows feature worked properly. On my Gen 2 R1T, first try only vents the passenger side, then I need to close and re vent to get all 4 to vent. Same on close, need to do it twice. This happens 100% of time when the truck is sleeping prior to sending the command.

a quick "tap-tap" on each of the window buttons will do this same thing. I see the app feature there as an "in case you forgot" when exiting the vehicle.

how about a setting where you can have the “vented windows” automatically closed when the rain sensors are triggered?
Might cause a safety issue if you have a person or pet in the vehicle with an appendage out the window. "trying to catch rain drops"

Yes! It's a handy function available only in the app. I also wish you could completely lower the windows from the app.
