Planning to submit a ticket to Rivian but wanted to know if anyone else has seen this? Looks like camera angle on the mirror for turns is not properly aligned and I always have a small black shadow or something in my view. Right side is fine (there's a teeny tiny shadow but nothing significant or distracting).

Normal. It's part of the side view mirror housing. We all have it to some degree on Gen 1s.

Interesting. And it's always on the left side?
I don't know what you mean by "always" here. The mirror housing is physically always there, yes. The angle of the driver side camera shows more of it in the video feed than the passenger side, but it's visible in both of your photos above.

Sorry for not being clear. By "always" I was trying to ask if the left housing has more of this obstruction than the right side. Not important, was just curious.

For me, they are both nearly identical to your left photo.

Mine does. I'm sure there's a bit of variance from vehicle to vehicle, but yours definitely seems normal.

Never paid enough attention to say it's normal. But, there are always variances from car to car. And it doesn't obstruct the camera's view enough to prevent it from being an effective blindspot mitigation feature. Non-issue.

Mine has it on both sides. I think pretty normal.

Crap... with such a major obstruction of the field of view, you'll never be able to see that UFO hiding out in your blind spot!

I knew UFOs were real! Thanks for confirming.
