Range Rover Sport. I miss it! ? If it wasn’t for my 137 mile daily commute to work I’d still have it.

2017 Tacoma TRD Pro for me. I bought it because of the reputation for reliability and the resale value. Both of those turned out to be true and after driving it for 4 years, Rivian offered me $2k less than I paid for it originally.

I loved that truck, but when I compare the interior and creature comforts to my R1T, it seems like I was driving the Flintstones car for 4 years. The Tacoma is also slow as dog$hit so having something this quick is just surreal.

I agree! I had 2019 TRDpro.

i also came from a Jaguar I-pace first edition. Mine was even the same color, though I had the 20” FE wheel. Mine was basically trouble free, though I did have to replace a 12v battery before they fixed that issue via software update.

I have the R1T now, so maybe a bigger jump than to the R1S. I liked the driving feel of the jag much better, but that’s no surprise vs. large truck and by no means is the Rivian bad. My kids greatly prefer the Rivian, since the jag back seat was pretty tight and raked backward to generate legroom over the battery.

Surprisingly (to me at least) the early Jag ADAS is better and easier to use than Driver+ currently is. They inexplicably removed it/neutered it from later I-paces even though it seemed to work reasonably well.

Some nice shake ups and upgrades in the thread here!

Left my 2017 Land Rover Discovery lifted on 20” A/T to my first truck and electric vehicle at that with the R1T. Had 40,000kms flawless km’s on the Rover and what an incredible vehicle all around.. nothing but praise for it.

The Rivian’s power and flexibility (on road + offroad) is what is keeping me around - but EVs are a bit of a pain in the ass to be fair with the constant charging infrastructure issues and road trip delays plus I’ve had a few of issues with the R1T but when they’re working it’s really great.

Waiting to see how the winter plays out before I’ll know if it’s a keeper and pass final judgment.

2003 Tacoma and I don’t miss it one bit.

My son daily drove one of those but when he came back from Houston we noticed that the "surface" rust on the frame was actually a complete rotting from the inside out. It's a common enough problem that we still got decent money for it from a specialist that did nothing but frame restorations on that generation of Tacoma.

2012 Subaru Impreza which met my needs at the time of purchase. It was way too noisy on the highway, and I needed more cargo space over time for family trips, bugging out for a wildfire, and more than two person's backpacking/snow camping gear. I could fit my road bike inside without taking the front wheel off.

Surprised no one else mentioned a Tesla as their previous daily drive.
Had this 2018 Model S 75D for 4-1/2 yrs and 80K miles. It was my third Model S... original one was VIN 3779 (Dec. 2012). Between the three of them I did 200K EV miles. It was great experiencing the evolution of the Model S over the last decade and how Tesla has really moved the EV transition. The S is a great ride, and the last one literally required no maintenance (other than tires and wiper blades). Been wanting a truck for a while, and: 1) cybertruck was taking too long and looking too funky, and 2) I think Elon's gotten rich (and crazy) enough.
My R1T actually rides more comfortable in my opinion, gets better range, and is faster than my previous MS's.
The missus still drives an ICE...Audi S5... so I get to hear that throaty rumble every now and then (and have to put gas in it).

Started with 2020 Lexus LS 500 which is still my favorite car owned (loved the exterior & interior aesthetics and craftsmanship). Traded her in for a 2021 Ram 1500 limited for more space for kids. Needed more power so traded the 1500 for a 2021 Ram TRX. My lead foot was draining my account on gas. So traded the TRX for the R1T. Miss the space offered by the 1500/TRX but, the R1T fulfills my needs for now.

Our DD was a 2009 Ford TaurusX that was the second best vehicle we’ve ever owned, it has over 300,000 miles still runs strong does leak a drop of anything and it has seen thousands of miles of forest roads and the back country of Utah and Nevada. I can’t wait to take our R1S to canyon country. a

I had a Tesla mod 3 performance and traded it for the R1T, loved the Tesla but love the R1T more. It is obviously much more capable then the Tesla with more utility and versatility and with a much higher level of comfort and quality. I still will not road trip with an EV so I bought a used Lexus for the few times I do.

I had previously leased a 2020 BMW M340i xDrive. The timing worked out great as I was able to sell the lease and get some equity back 2 months before the lease was supposed to end since I got notified that my R1T was in production.

I really loved this car. It was a great comfortable daily driver but also very fun to drive. The B58 engine with the M performance exhaust made some great noises and handling wise this did great. It had Driver's Assistance Plus which included lane keep and hands free driving under 40mph. I was also surprised on how efficient it was considering the power it made as on longer road trips I was easily getting 30-35 mpg.

I know that my current R1T is a big contrast to this but I feel that I made the right choice. I always wanted an offroad capable truck but I still wanted a daily that is fun to drive. The R1T is able to do both while also saving me money on gas so it was a no brainer, especially for the pre-march pricing + tax credits. I am just getting used to the larger size but it's not too bad.

First pic was shortly after getting the car and getting it tinted. Second photo was right after I sold it. Had some mixed feelings as I was sad to see it go however was excited to have my R1T in a few weeks.

I seem to go for cult vehicles (this forum constitutes a cult--right?). My DD was a 2010 BMW 335d that I bought in 2013. I put over 200,000 miles on it (and still have it) but am putting a battery maintenance charger on it most of the time. When I got it, I was driving a GMC 1500HD, which was the best truck I had ever owned, but after a few months driving the Beemer Diesel Beast, I realized it could handle a hidden trailer hitch. I installed the hitch and a rear camera, bought a trailer and sold the truck.

Shortly after that, I had it dyno tuned and added meth injection. 140,000 miles later, it is still the most CAPABLE car I ever owned. With 400 hp, 600 ft-lbs, and 40 mpg in a solid, 3800-lb sport sedan, what's not to love? Now that it's 13 years old, I kept asking myself what my next car would be. What could I drive that was good-looking and not a step backwards in power or capability? To keep my torque addiction fed, I knew it would have to be an EV. Probably a Tesla S Plaid, but I didn't want to spend that much. I got an opportunity to drive an R1T in February, and just had to have one.

Went to the used car market, and had mine in about two weeks. On paper it should accelerate like my Beemer, but the Rivian's show-to-go ratio is even lower than my beloved car's! Instant torque, super grip, and lack of mechanical delays makes the R1T about a second quicker to 60 than my tuned 335d. Driving over 100 mph is a rarity for me, so the top end is not a factor. Now my Rivian is the most CAPABLE VEHICLE I have ever owned, by a long shot. Time will tell, but it has a good shot at being the best truck I've ever owned, too.

By the way, the truck in Sport Mode feels a lot like the 335d, and in All Purpose Mode, it feels a lot like my wife's 535d X-Drive. Off-road, it feels like nothing I've ever driven.

My previous was a 2019 F150 Raptor. One helluva truck that was a helluva lot of fun. The only thing I miss is all the extra interior space.

But the Rivian is even more fun. ?

2014 Grand Cherokee, which I purchased new. Really liked it, but no regrets getting the R1T.
