Wheel size update?

So I’m getting ready to swap my 21s for 20s for the winter. I called Rivian to see about doing this OTA. I told them I could swap the wheels myself, but they said the only way I can get it done is for a mobile tech to come out for $130. So if that’s the only option I’ll just let them do the grunt work too. Is it not possible for them to update the wheel size completely OTA yet?

Correct, OTA hasn't worked yet. But let them give it a shot! Mine was done at SC.

Do you have stock 20s? Any interest in replacing with 275/60R20?

I'm doing my "winter" swap in about two weeks. My 22s go in the shed and the 20" darks go back on. I don't plan on reprogramming this time because I'm o.k. with the 4 months of miscalibration. Earlier this year when I ran 22s with 20" calibration, I didn't notice any issues other than the obvious range/speed differences. Reportedly, there's a camera adjustment made, but I didn't notice any difference after the SC performed this step.

I had Discount Tire swap out my 22's for 20's on Thursday and submitted a ticket to update the vehicle through the Rivian app. I received a call from Rivian on Friday morning and the rep sent the request to their Tire Swap Team and said I should see the update by this Tuesday. We'll see.

If you are upsizing in the swap I wouldn’t worry about. Calculations and comsumption may be a bit off but on upsizing your odometer will be off which means you accumulate miles slower. Longer warranty that way. 10% larger from the 21’s means another 17,000-18,000 miles or so you can put on before running out of the mileage warranty on the powertrain and battery if you are a high miler type.

now if your downsizing getit updated cause your odometer will read more miles then put on it.

No. Not enough to matter. Diameter difference is nowhere as drastic as 4% (275/65R20 vs 275/50R22).

It actually made a pretty big difference for me. I swapped my 22" Sports for 20" AT's and my efficiency took a crap.

They quoted me the same but ended up charging less I think half of that, if I recall correctly.
