Like a lot of us, I had dreams of driving my R1 on the Paris-Dakar route or somewhere on the Serengeti. I pictured myself not as a boring banker but a rugged outdoors mountain man transversing silently through rugged mountains and forests. Not shaving for days and bathing under waterfalls. Then I realised I was married and couldn't find my underwear without her. It would be without her as she has very different dreams which only involve shopping. So, here I am; living vicariously through all of you that are living the dream. Carry on boys. Carry on for those of us that can't find our undies.

Mine has spent a fair amount of time off pavement, camping, and towing considering it only has 4000 miles and 22 wheels.

Ok, I admit I originally thought this thread was condescending, but now I'd love more adventure stories to cut through a lot of boring talk on here about luxury features and stuff. Doing my part, Medano Pass in Colorado last week. Yes, Gen 1 camera quality, be warned.
