Can anyone recommend a specific product (and the correct size) that will fit over the R1S rear windows and work well to keep bugs out while windows are partially rolled down, while sleeping in the vehicle? thanks

I've got these Mesh Car Window Shades in my Amazon cart but haven't tried them because I don't have any trips where they might be useful. Free returns...Can't hurt to try them. If you do please let me know.

Yes, like those but I am hoping there is someone out there who has used them and can verify that they fit and work well. The windows+doorframes are fairly large and not all of them will actually fit. I have a set that someone gave me that fit on my 4Runner, but they are too small to fit the R1S. The ones I have are fairly tapered at the top, I think they need to be more rectangular to fit the shape of the Rivian doors.

I measure approx 43" wide by 19" tall for the rear doors/windows. Was thinking about ordering these in size XL, seems like they may be large enough:

I will probably order them and see how they work.

Update: I received these window screens yesterday and I can confirm that they fit well and look like they will work for camping. Will not be able to test them in actual camping for a while though.

I also ordered those ones and just tried them on. Pics below. I should be able to camp in next week or two and report back. There definitely is a need for something like this because my last few attempts at car camping have been difficult with temperature control as well as air quality with windows up. The screens don't provide any realistic privacy, unfortunately. I took pictures with windows up and down in my garage to show. I have 20% tinted back windows for reference. Otherwise, these should be very helpful and I look forward to trying them.

They will definitely help with temp/humidity control, and should keep bugs out as well. I have a similar but smaller set that I used in my 4runner a few times and they worked great. It really helps to be able to keep the windows open (halfway or so works great depending on how cold it is), otherwise the humidity builds up a lot when you sleep inside. We actually used that set once in the Rivian and while they were a VERY tight fit they worked well enough to keep the windows open partway. This set fits much better so as long as the holes are small enough to keep the bugs out they should be perfect. All of these seem like they will be fairly easy to tear though so be careful when putting them on and taking them off to avoid putting holes in them.

Reporting back...these window screens work well for humidity control, but Rivian's still got temperature control issues. I long for the good ol' days of simple analog dials that control the temperature of the air blowing. This software is basically trying its best to use sensors, maybe even just one, to determine interior temperature and then doing math to correct. It's not working.

When I usually look at the AC screen, I see that the air blowing is cold (blue) until 74degF. I thought at 73degF I could perceive warmer blowing air, so I left it there for the night at 12:30am. The air was 69degF outside and I left these back windows fully open with the screens. I woke up at 3:30am freezing...the vents were blowing cold air when external temps were high 60s. I was baffled. Then I went to change the temperature on the AC screen. For some reason I don't understand, temperature on the screen didn't show heat (red) until 79degF. So I turned that way up and turned 3rd row fans off because those don't heat, just recirculate usually cold air. I also put the windows back up halfway. To little surprise I woke up again at 5:30am super hot and just turned the whole system off and kept the windows fully down because it was just approaching 70degF again outside.

I frankly would have been better off in a tent. Or maybe getting screens like this for the front windows and maybe tailgate somehow. Based on the whole sensor predictive climate control system, I don't think any SUV tents that extend from the tailgate are a good idea. This is my 3rd or 4th attempt with camping in the R1S, and I still can't figure out how to make it work that well. Any other experienced suggestions or input welcome.

@1stPlace here's what works well for me:

Enable camp mode, stay on, and turn off the auto temperature control.

If overnight temps are below ~40, set the fan to the lowest speed, set temperature to 80. Expect ~1% range drop per hour, and for the cabin to stay relatively warm. Ex on a ~15 degree F night the cabin stayed above freezing, I think around 40.

If overnight temps are between 40 and 70, set the fan to the lowest speed, with no heating or AC. Expect 1-2% range drop overnight. This is for humidity control.

If overnight temps are higher than 70, set the temperature to 60 and set the fan to the lowest speed. (I haven't actually had to do this one yet, one night I "precooled" the car, but never actually left the ac on overnight).

I'm not going for temperature control. Just temperature modulation and humidity control. Make the cold nights warmer and dryer so there's not a layer of moisture (frozen or not) on the inside of the windows in the morning. This works well for me with my sleeping bag.
