Wrong battery installed in my Rivian?

No need to actually charge to 100% to see it. There is an item to the left of the same screen that you tap on. It will show you projected range in 3 drive modes @ full charge (20" AT Quad-Large is shown).

That's really weird. My range at 100% has never changed since I've owned the car. Still says 273 mi in all purpose which exactly matches the EPA numbers, even though the app varies in what it reports at different charge levels

What is displayed is calculated base on your driving history (hence the button to reset). If it's spot-on or close to EPA, that means Rivian did their job right (vs the other company *cough).

I dont know, been doing a lot of 75+ in the cold lately, definitely not gotten near rated in the past few months. Was averaging 1.5-ish over the last 250 miles due to cold soak

Mine displays 284 as well and I'm not even getting 1.5 since putting my Nokian's on it. 273 was the old EPA before they opened up more of the pack. It's all really irrelevant though as I don't get anywhere near 273 with my rig.

100% Rivian doesn't adjust this number to driving history but I do believe it takes it into account for NAV estimates, which are largely conservative in my experience.

Think about how math works in context of averages from a data set. Think about what would need to happen with the data points for the average to change significantly in either direction. You'd need some datapoints to be extremely different from the rest, or a sizable lot of datapoints to be consistently higher/lower than the rest.

OP - why would you post here if you really had that issue? Wouldn’t you call Rivian first? Or not take delivery? At delivery, this was one of the first screens they showed me. And you are likely smart enough to check the range, which is what really matters.

Thanks for all the responses. Yes just got home from work to a fleury of messages. I did have a chat with Rivian Service and that mentioned to me that this is very odd and have to investigate further.

You didn't really contact Rivian unless you were instructed on three ways to do a vehicle reboot.

I can't report anything without a "did you try restarting the vehicle"

If I encountered a bug like that I'd probably report it to a forum to see how wide spread it was.

If its widespread then I probably won't report it.

If its just me I'd try doing various reboots to see if it cleared, and if it didn't then I'd contact Rivian.

Haha, they actually called me for a service request about range and my upcoming appointment in Gaithersburg. Since I had them on the phone I addressed my concern. They had me send them pictures to confirm. My Range in all purpose at 100% says 314.

Gaithersburg is a solid SC. The is is too many Rivians in the DMV. Wait time is absurd. But they’re a good team.
