Esker Silver R2 finally marketed by Rivian! Hi-res official images (Updated With More)

I have a forest green R1T bc they had it in stock, and if I waited for the free LA silver, I'd risk loosing out on the $7500 rebate. Now I like green; it's my favorite color; I just don't like it $2500 more than silver.

Silver is great just bc it hides dirt so well, you can drive it dirty and hardly notice, whereas almost any other color and any dirt is immediately visible.

In the city, this silver will blend in with the surroundings, whereas my green will stick out, but in the wilds, silver will shine and my green will blend into the forest.

BTW, am I the only one that thinks the charge port door looks awkward/out-of-place? Maybe if they held the horizontal line to the fender it would look better.

Red Canyon is so nice in person. I went with Limestone but saw the Red Canyon with the sun hitting it and I was like wow that would easily be my second choice.

Indeed. Back in May 2022 when I was needing to choose a color all the online pics of Red Canyon came across as red, which I didn't want, but folks were saying it's really more orange. I made a trip to the original ATL delivery prep location. When the sun hit the only RC example they had I said "yep, it's orange...gotta have it!"

Tomato, Tohmahto. I am also getting old and remember many of my college friends inheriting yellow, green and red 4x4's and painting them black.....but they were college kids who could only afford MAACO and cut corners so you'd open a door or trunk and they'd have the original colors on the inner trims- looked ridiculous. Also, based on the polls, ES is going to make me unique.

Yeah, I don't understand the R2 color palette, and the lack of any sort of red, like Red Canyon.

I think it looks a lot like Tesla's Quicksilver and that is one of my favorite colors that Tesla offers. Our first Tesla is MSM (midnight silver metallic) which most people call gray anyway. The second is Pearl White that was the standard color in 2022 for the '23 Model Y. I'm going with the Esker Silver for the R2 and can always get it wrapped in any color we choose down the road if we get tired of it.

I'm starting to think Esker Silver is low-key the best color choice. Not just because of the cost, but because it has more visual depth than the other options. From a marketing standpoint, instead of Esker Silver, I would've called this color "Mercury."
