I know that nobody here has the exact answer, but has anyone received any delivery dates on Max Pack vehicles other than 1H23? I am a pre-order holder since 1/4/20. I know that 2018/2019 preorder holders can switch to the Large Pack for a 2022 delivery. I missed it by 4 days. My bad...........2 years of watching this company and product and just didn't pull the trigger on the deposit soon enough. They brought an R1T to my house in San Diego last month for a 45 minute drive and it was awesome. More excited than ever. But CS said if I switch to the Large Pack I lose my place in line. Just don't know where the line is for the Max Pack. Thoughts other than 2024 is more likely?? This is a great forum. Thank you to all the current owners who are sharing their amazing experiences!!!! I am fully invested in this company and this product.

I'm a June 2020 max pack reservation, Limestone + FE, and they gave me a 2H23 delivery estimate...

They did invite some early max pack reservations to convert for possible '22 delivery but that ship has sailed. And with only 25K units being produced this year I think there are going to be a lot of people who were expecting delivery later this year of their non-max pack will be pushed into '23 anyway.

Max pack or bust for me... I'm hoping to get it in '23, but there's also hope for 800V and heat pump and other upgrades as well. If it slips to '24 with new tech, I can probably cope with that just fine. I just really could use a new truck though.

I am a 2018 max pack preorder and I have a first half 2023 slot. I am holding out as I was given option to switch.

Dec 2021 for me...I waited until we had some relevant off-road reviews before pulling the trigger. But I'm in the same boat...without max pack I think realistically trying to tow at all is a non-starter. I'm really hoping that the later delivery date means we get the 800V system because charging such a big battery at 150 kW or less will be agonizing. I haven't gotten a delivery estimate yet, so I'm just assuming 2024 at this point and will be pleasantly surprised if I wind up with 2H2023.

June '19 max pack since Day 1 and didn't even get a delivery window. Was told that I would have to wait until the delivery window feature was added on the configurator to find out. I'm assuming first half '23? but who knows.

Of note, I did consider switching to a large pack to get it sooner, but decided 300 miles (460km) wasn't going to be enough for me, so decided to stick with my initial order of 400.

100% on everything you said. I'd be willing to wait into late '23 for the 800V architecture etc. I've waited this long, whats another 6-8 months?

Totally agree here. Start in late 2018. at this point it’s worth the extra time.

Thanks all for the replies. I agree and am also holding out for the Max Pack and upgraded technology and any bug fixes. It is a bit of torture starting to see R1Ts driving around my town, but I can wait. We have a 300 mile range Model X and manage just fine with it, but the Max Pack will mean longer trips and fewer charging stops. Patiently waiting!!

I just bought a polestar and am considering switching back to the max pack after switching to the large to move up my date. Figured waiting it out a little big is hopefully going to result in better, more refined technology.

After doing a few trips in my polestar, I am waiting for max pack 1,000%.

Max pack here as well. I'm in no rush to get my R1S and prefer pushing this back as far as possible for everything posters here have stated.

Basically same, I have a June ‘21 Adventure/Max Pack/21”/White/Black interior R1T ordered. I have the email stating 2H of 2023 delivery.
I need/want to tow with it..with all the concerns that brings.
So I’m personally okay if it slips well into 2024. That gives enough time to see what happens with the Max Pack, charging, towing experiences, etc.
In the meantime I went ahead and bought a new ICE tow vehicle to use for the next few years; a typical ‘lumbering mass’ SUV. A gas hog for sure.

@JerseyGreens do you think there will be an option to push out an R1S order until a max pack option is available? I am considering switching to R1T with max pack since it does not seem like one will be available for the R1S anytime soon.

I do believe they will make the max pack an option again for the R1S. Might be wishful thinking but I haven't heard anything that definitively stated the max pack will never be an option on the R1S. ?

I'm not claiming to know anything... But I did know enough to order multiple R1T reservations because I had a "feeling" this (max 2023 delay) would happen.

Changed first order to a Large pack in hopes of ASAP 2022 delivery (11/27/18 preorder).

Other two preorders I'm just sitting on.

But with the " Rivian Price Lock Guarantee" I feel like I should've order 20+ reservations instead of RIVN Stock.

Could've sold my preorders with the new price hike for +15k once the vehicles start coming off the line. It would've been nice to have made money as opposed to losing my @$$ on stocks.

Regardless... Only holding out for one Max Pack R1T next year with the intent to sell the Large Pack R1T I get in 2022.

Third order is for the wife if she wants the R1S... Or "just in case". ?
