The most confusing part of the limitation is that I used one of the exact same stations as Kyle (the one in ABQ) with a ccs adapter on my Model S Plaid, and I got 500 amps (the Plaid is nominal 450V). So this isn't just an issue with the station or just with the truck, but some kind of combination of the two, I believe. I know he got >350A at an EVgo station, so it isn't a hard limit of the truck, but perhaps the truck and these ABB units don't negotiate 500A properly, but the Signets/EVgo do. No idea, tbh, and it makes me wish there was a better way to debug any of this...
In a practical sense, the end result is that R1T owners won't get 500A out of these units right now, and that's a problem.
Here is the exact station I recommended to Kyle, charging my tesla at 500 amps.
