The most confusing part of the limitation is that I used one of the exact same stations as Kyle (the one in ABQ) with a ccs adapter on my Model S Plaid, and I got 500 amps (the Plaid is nominal 450V). So this isn't just an issue with the station or just with the truck, but some kind of combination of the two, I believe. I know he got >350A at an EVgo station, so it isn't a hard limit of the truck, but perhaps the truck and these ABB units don't negotiate 500A properly, but the Signets/EVgo do. No idea, tbh, and it makes me wish there was a better way to debug any of this...

In a practical sense, the end result is that R1T owners won't get 500A out of these units right now, and that's a problem.

Here is the exact station I recommended to Kyle, charging my tesla at 500 amps.

Hey! The truck coldgated at that location, so I'm not sure if it just wasn't requesting 350+ in the first place. Or it could be a communication problem like you're suggesting. The weird thing about that is that he observed that same behavior on both the EQS and the R1T.

I've seen plenty of people pule 180 to 195 kw with the R1T at other EA stations, but there definitely seems to be something going on with the ABB stations.

The other oddity, that I haven't had a chance to go dig back into is there are a lot of MMEs that have pulled 160+kw at 150kw stations, implying more than 350kw as well.
