Since I know everyone on this thread has impeccable taste in vehicle colors, I thought I'd ask y'all what your backup color is if Rivian CS asks you to be "flexible" with your config?

So... What's your backup color?

Mine is Midnight.

I'd probably go with El Cap. My current vehicle is the same color so I'd prefer not to just dgo around again. I've been trying to sell myslef on Rivian blue but its too bright for my tastes. LA Silver is an option if they've finally fixed the tiger striping. LA Silver and Forrest Edge interior would look weird right?

Definitely been thinking about this - Limestone and Glacier White for me.

I would also consider a FE interior, which would make me lean towards GW for an exterior to keep costs down.

I don't think I'd be flexible on my wheel choice, unless they have wheels available in the gear shop by the time I am contacted and can make a call on whether I can buy my preferred set a few months down the road and just sell what they give me with the R1S as lightly used.

That was my worry as well after seeing a couple of photos where... it looked black.

You can tell that's the original prototype because the handles are hinged opposite of the final design. Funny how quickly we forget this is the only example we had to look at for almost 3 years.

I like a bunch of the colors, because really, Rivian did a kick-ass job with all of their colors. Blue is my second choice, Yellow is my favorite but the wife has vetoed that one, then probably limestone, el cap, or white.

The Venice hub had an El Cap Truck with and FE interior last week and it looked fantastic. I saw it in person but I think there are also pictures in one of the threads here.

It almost made me reconfigure.

My eternal struggle. Originally configured for the top FG/BM. Currently 1 month in to switching to MB/FE and having FG withdrawals every time I see this thread updated.

Same here. 3rd backup is Glacier white. I can always get it wrapped.

I'm also hoping someone will wrap FG in a satin PPF. It's something I'm considering.

I go back and forth between GW and FG, mostly due to just how variable the green seems to come through in pictures, possibly due to HDR or display calibration. The white seems to always look pretty sleek but the FG is all over the place. Half the pictures (in strong sun) show a beautiful emerald with enough flake to make the truck look super luxe. The other half (less sun) look pale, plain, and kind of half-baked. Really dying for a chance to see these in real life, but if I don't get a chance to do so before delivery, pretty much have to go GW.

On an unrelated note, I kick myself daily for not snatching up a Verde Visconti Alfa (As Seen Here) during the two years they were available. Best green ever.

Paint is super subjective obviously, so take this as just my opinion.

I really wanted to like Forest Green since the very beginning, but I've struggled with it for a few reasons:

• It's super shiny and reflective, maybe more than any other color. The shiny mirror / polished finish gives me the feeling of more luxury vs. an adventure off-road vehicle I want to get dirty.
• Speaking of getting dirty, FG seems to show dirt and pollen way more than other colors.

I have seen a green 4runner with a satin wrap and it looked excellent. I expect the Rivian would look similarly great.

Are any other FG people doing FE interior? I'll be interested to hear when the first one gets delivered and how it looks together.
