I am sure you all are sick of hearing me complain, but this whole thread is frustrating beyond words. I feel like I need a mental health break from this website. :CWL:

I am BEGGING Rivian for my vehicle at this point, and am getting nowhere. I am 20 minutes from the Denver service center, but am close by at least a couple times a week. I have told them I will take pretty much any vehicle (color, interior, underbody, etc.), would be more than happy to pick it up at the SC, and I can't get anywhere. I am just completely ignored. Emails, texts, voicemails all just go into a blackhole. CS is always pleasant, but they can't do anything, and it never actually moves anything along. I've had no issues waiting for 3+ years, but the past month has really just taken me from being excited to just being exasperated. I don't know what else to do at this point, but this has all left a really sour taste in my mouth.
I just got off the phone with my guide -- my delivery was cancelled because of some damage found on the car.

Long story short, there are 2 trucks AVAILABLE on the lot at Denver SC -- 1 is Launch Green, and 1 is Black.

If you can, I'd encourage you to message your guide and see if you can get one of those two if you're open to the colors. I have my heart set on Limestone so had to pass up on them.

From the article:

"The only way they could ever make that business model work is if they lose money on every truck they sell," (Peter Rawlinson, CEO of luxury EV maker Lucid Group Inc) told Reuters in March.

Rivian said it was confident about its "pricing journey."

So they changed the old business school punchline from '...but we'll make up for it in volume.' with 'pricing journey'?

It's definitely been a frustrating process and the chaos/uncertainty around it sucks.

I'm not suggesting you should change it, but I wouldn't be surprised if changing it kick started your delivery.
Changed mine from OC to BM and still no contact. April 2019 pre-order

Im also a September 2021 pre-order who got guide contact for delivery in SF Bay Area. You can see the timeline in my sig, but i was able to take over a LE and save $1500 + free 20 ATs over my original Adventure Limestone build. Already have a VIN assigned as well.

I have no idea why they contacted me before those in the Jul-Sep group. Only thing I can think of is that I put down a deposit on a second dual-motor R1S a few weeks ago? Maybe that had something to do with it? Lol

Ya why wouldn't they contact earliest first? Makes zero sense.
Because OBVIOUSLY Rivian manually enters them all on an Excel spreadsheet and sorts by oldest first and goes in that exact order.

Nothing else at play. Location, proximity to service center, or any number of thousands of nuances.

Obviously.

That's literally how other companies reserve vehicles. First in, first out.

So someone should be skipped that has been waiting for years because Rivian bumbled service center roll out? What a terrible business case.

Thanks, I will have to reach out and check. I actually did talk to my Guide yesterday, and while nothing was concrete, it did feel like I am getting closer. (maybe?)

I know you say it in jest, but even taking all those things into consideration (location, proximity to service center, configuration) there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to who gets what. If people with the exact same build are taking delivery at the exact same location, then it should go to the earliest pre-order date. Right now, that isn't happening.
