Truckee CA Rivian Charging Station Now Open

I happen to be driving by the new Rivian charging station in Truckee today, right as the technicians were pulling the cones away. I asked when the station would be open and one of the technician said in 3 minutes! They were excited to have their first customer and I gladly obliged by charging in the trailer spot. I only had time for a quick charge, but everything was perfect. This location is really great and should be very popular.

Yep. I think most/all have this, maybe not Salida so maybe a Cali thing.

It says give preference to handicap, if all full you can use it. Just a wider spot to accommodate a van.

I felt uncomfortable in Bishop taking the handicap spot and leaving the truck to charge while I got something to eat…your right maybe a CA thing

We were dropping packages off at the Truckee UPS store on Tuesday & I nearly through my wife though the windshield pulling out of the parking lot when I saw the chargers and the guys working on them. Congrats on being the first. My vote is a station in Bridgeport or Mammoth. My kids had a MTB race in Mammoth and I was very concerned about charging at the EA station in Bridgeport (it ended up working fine). Or if I'm being greedy, along 80 between Truckee & SLC this season. Would be nice to use those Ikon passes with more confidence. Sorry for all you east coasters! I can vouch that they look cool.
