This does get better with time. Seems seals weaken or something, because at 13k mine last door closes is almost what I would call normal. And in beginning it had to be closed very aggressively.
Exactly. Difficult at first, now it's normal. I'm glad it creates a tight seal and now kids have no problem closing after 5k miles.

I highly doubt we'll see a feature that cracks the windows when closing the doors and hope we don't see that. It's only necessary on doors with a frameless window.

I don’t like that I can’t add my own music to tidal, but it sounds SO MUCH better in my truck.
I'm not sure what you mean by that, but you can most definitely import playlists from Spotify as an example directly into Tidal. I think even tidal upon sign up directs you to both a free (I think max 500 songs, 200 max per playlist) or a paid tier that allows full transfer

You can’t add music that’s not on Tidal, which is my issue— I have ~1,000 songs in my library that aren’t on streaming services, but I can add them to Apple Music, and then they sync to my devices. But I can use Bluetooth + Apple Music when I want to listen to those songs.

No 23.02 yet, but I've been watching my AP improve over the last few thousand miles. It was 290 the other day, and now it exceeds Conserve! I'm no grandma, but what the hell am I doing right?
You’re doing slightly better than me but yeah, the bug is real.

I'm hoping an update soon allows media to be saved to the truck for those limited or no service areas like Spotify/Tidal etc allow for on your phone.

Really liking Tidal sound quality over Spotify but I don't live in the best service area for AT&T so it lags occasionally. Also I spend a lot of time in the mountains and always have to switch to BT which is of course lower quality.

Excited for this update though! Hoping it fixes a lot of issues with (especially the ATs) pulling to whichever way the road crowns. It is so much less pronounced when I have the 21s on or even coded for but ATs still on (I swap a lot). Makes me hopeful it's mainly SW that's the issue.

Checked last night and it showed 2022.47 (IIRC) to be up to date. Hopeful that the vampire drain will be reduced. Truck sat at the airport for 9 days - dropped from 201 to 150 miles of range.

I expect to see 2023.02.xx begin rolling out this week. Rivian has went 2 weeks post beta update launch in the past, and we're still on track for that marker.

ah, maybe I have followed threads in the past that weren't "beta" but signs customers had gotten the update. I guess I don't actually know what beta is in this context. is this info leaked from Rivian employees? who is getting a beta release?

AFAIK, beta testers are employee vehicles. I've read that a few members have beta on their vehicle, but there's not weight to that info. I've been asking my SC to add me to the list for beta testing. I do a lot with software validation and QA, and am happy to provide feedback.

Yes. It's leaked from employee or someone who purchased an employee vehicle that still gets the beta launches.

I don’t think it’s a bug, it’s just finally adapting the range estimates to your driving styles like it always said it does. If you don’t use conserve or sport then those won’t change.

Is there a way to subscribe to beta releases? Not sure I'd want to....

Nope, but lower power helps. It’s a part of the reason conserve mode works.
Negative. Conserve mode physically disconnects the rear motors. It has nothing to do with lowering power. Permanent magnet motors need to have some small amount of power applied in order to "coast", so Rivian used a physical disconnect to eliminate that unneeded power draw. Unlike an ICE, horsepower doesn't mean inefficiency unless you actually use it.
