I guess I was off by 20 days on my prediction, but I can still say I told you so :giggle:

Yes. Moreover, Rivian said max pack is the priority build for dual motor starting this year. Large pack is going to be later build in 2024. So, not only is MP not being phased out, it is being accelerated.
But Quad+Max was effectively axed, and that was the only version being marketed when this thread was created. Furthermore, as near as anyone can tell, max pack is no longer going to be the originally claimed 180 kWh either.

I assumed that was part of why they changed their language way back from 105/135/180 but I didn't want it to be true. Still don't.

Yes, it is a zombie thread that is so far out of date that the prediction is both correct and incorrect. The Max Pack is now a different thing with 390 miles of range on a more efficient vehicle, the quad motors are being relegated to a specialty item, the large pack dual motor roll-out is being delayed. Not really comparable.

Note: We plan to add a Quad-Motor with additional capability in the future that will pair with the Max pack. We will release pricing for this new variant closer to launch.
I'm still hopeful they're going to re-introduce quad+max for the R1T at least. Likely what the R1 line shutdown early next year is going to be used for.

Part of me hopes it's further off than Q1 2024 or I'll be irritated I caved for the Quad+Large. That said, I caved with the expectation that if Quad+Max came back and had enough upgrade to make it worthwhile I'd flip mine for it when it happens.

Range wise it'll probably be under 400 miles with the quad motor, but the quad motor+max could have higher power delivery than the current quad+large. They also won't be letting people convert their orders to it without paying the current price. I expect it to be >$100k
