I guess until Rivian blesses us with USB playback, you'll have to go with the SXM to FM broadcast route. Not stellar sound quality when going through FM, but it's not like SXM beaming down is offering great quality nowadays anyway. As their sats age, I think they have lowered the bitrate to prevent overworking the transponders and batteries up there. They also have way more channels then when they started out, so the limited bitrate per transponder gets divided even further...... kind of like a OTA TV broadcast channels where they have like 10 sub-channels on a QAM with super low bitrates which gives you an absolutely craptastic picture.Already tried, and no, in transmit mode they wouldn't pair (or be seen) by the iPhone. In receive mode, they could be, just not transmit mode.
Many of us have commented since day one regarding the irony in manufacturing a vehicle that is occasionally expected to go "off grid" but neglecting to provide any provision for getting music while off the grid.
