Already tried, and no, in transmit mode they wouldn't pair (or be seen) by the iPhone. In receive mode, they could be, just not transmit mode.
I guess until Rivian blesses us with USB playback, you'll have to go with the SXM to FM broadcast route. Not stellar sound quality when going through FM, but it's not like SXM beaming down is offering great quality nowadays anyway. As their sats age, I think they have lowered the bitrate to prevent overworking the transponders and batteries up there. They also have way more channels then when they started out, so the limited bitrate per transponder gets divided even further...... kind of like a OTA TV broadcast channels where they have like 10 sub-channels on a QAM with super low bitrates which gives you an absolutely craptastic picture.

Many of us have commented since day one regarding the irony in manufacturing a vehicle that is occasionally expected to go "off grid" but neglecting to provide any provision for getting music while off the grid.

Membership was canceled on favor of a la carte options.
Yep, that's what I was referring to as a soon to be billed feature. Soon being Dec or whenever they get around to implementing post Dec, hoping they will be late with that by an update or two. Hopefully everyone gets a last RAN charge or two in this month before that is billed too.

The paperwork for purchasing my R1T mentioned VERIZON, and not AT&T. Your assumption about my lack of knowledge is irritating. I work with computers daily (and usually far more than 8 hours a day). The fact that I haven't NEEDED to set up the music app on my iPhone is not your business. Last time I set up personalized music lists was when I burnt my own CDs (of music tracks on CDs I own). That was 20 years ago, as I've used Sirius for the last 13 or 14 years.

I see >NOW< on the display it mentions AT&T, but I've also gotten an OTA update since I bought it, and I don't recall it saying AT&T on the display originally. As the paperwork DID mention Verizon and did NOT mention AT&T, I could see no reason Verizon to be mentioned except for the cellular service providing internet connectivity.
Let's see said paperwork. Rivian has never been on Verizon.

C’mon. No way they would get that wrong.

They work on computers “daily (and usually more than 8 hours a day)”. It’s Rivian’s fault they don’t know the cellular provider or how to create a playlist in Apple Music or how to use their Sirius membership. :CWL:

Unfortunately, Music on the iphone (so far) has insisted on being ordered by Album, rather than random or as >I< would organize. Years ago I burnt CDs of my favorite tracks (it was 6 or 8 CDs). But I still like the selection I get from Sirius (though I've augmented my CD collection based on some stuff I heard on Sirius). When Apple changed from iTunes to Music, it messed things up on my computer (I was maxed out on what I could store in iTunes). Streaming is just not the way. In fact...I was moving to DVD-Audio, until that sort of withered away.
Playlists?

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
Have you tried using the SiriusXM app and streaming from it to your car via bluetooth?

That'd be nice, but I've never seen a functional RAN charger.
Although the one near Sedona has been claimed to be under construction for... IDK forever.

When you don't have internet how do you think this works? Answer is, it doesn't.
When you're underground (or perhaps under very thick bridges) it tends to work better than satellite based XM.

I was very pleased to get 3 uses in one long weekend right after they opened one and those will be my only RAN free chargers. Sad
