Yeah - I'm onboard that train. I'd go out to a 20 foot pole. Why would Rivian want to get into business with a failing company? I wouldn't touch Lucid with a 10ft pole at this point. Maybe Aston can save them but I doubt it.
You just reminded me that one evening, perhaps with a glass or three of decent zinfandel in me, I put a reservation down on a Fisker Ocean when my wife said “ooh!” at a picture of one.Yeah - I'm onboard that train. I'd go out to a 20 foot pole.
Why doesn't Rivian also just join forces with Fisker, while they are at it?
If Rivian was going to undergo an acquisition, Lucid would be the last one out there that they would be interested in.
LIVIDCompany name then, Rucid or Livian?
Not sure how Rivian benefits from merging with another startup that has limited resources/cash. What Rivian needs the most is enough capital to execute on its own strategic plans - namely getting the R2 platform across the finish line as soon as possible.Rivian should join forces with Lucid and that would give them the market for turcks, vans, and cars!
Mergers could be fun:Company name then, Rucid or Livian?
