That means Mackinaw City is officially #50. The Count will be thrilled by the news!

12 days left in the quarter. 18 pins officially "coming soon." Will be interesting to see how many they finish with. Last quarter there was a small surge at the end of the quarter. I hope there's another one!
Do you expect Rivian to post a whole new phase of charging locations now they are close to finishing phase 1?

They have been periodically adding stuff to this map. I'd wager things they expect to finish in 6ish months.

They seem to add new “coming soon” at random points rather than just once per quarter. I’d love to see a big dump of new pins, but I don’t necessarily expect it anytime specific.

I'm honestly rather satisfied with the way they've been rolling out their updates so far.

I've already found issued permits for most of the new locations that were recently added, so I'd say Rivian's location map gives a pretty surefire indication that construction is about to start.

Whatever the case, it sure beats Tesla and their quarterly / semi-annual / not-at-all update pace.

The project to construct a Rivian RAN location in Orland California (about halfway between the Sacramento and Mt Shasta RANs) was approved to proceed by the Orland city council on September 5.

No information on when it might be built but it's a good next step to fill-in a big gap on I-5 in Northern California. The proposed location is slated to have 6 chargers including 1 pull through.

Texas has also been way too static for too long. 2 stations open with… *checks notes* … zero coming soon.

Update flow from this week (I was planning on dispersing it, but Rivian opened their 50th site so I took the opportunity, you're welcome):

Location #1: Walsenburg, CO

Location #2: Forks, WA

Location #3: Cookeville, TN

Corte Madera all buttoned up. Six DCFC, eight L2, and some room for expansion. Now have to wait until November for PG&E...

5 days left in the quarter, counting today, and they're on a slower pace this quarter than last. They added 18 stations (going from 20 to 38) in Q2. So far they've added just 13 (38 to 51) in Q3. I wonder if they're still part constrained on the chargers or if this is kind of the pace they want to maintain for now.

That's a bummer. I was hoping for a lot faster rollout. 51 is a far cry from 600. Would have hoped they would be in the 100s right now.
