The Sun is a Murdoch owned tabloid, so I’m not surprised it produces garbage like that. Don’t even waste your time on anything you see with their name on it.

Man, what garbage writing in general. This appears to be written by a seven year old, or perhaps ChatGPT 0.007 Beta.

Don't click on this to boost their clicks!

Is this a sentence? "A review by an expert of the American RIvian R1S..."

"The reviewer explains how many drivers might struggle with the breaking system"

Does the phone battery catch fire to serve as ignition? - "A mobile phone serves as the ignition"

 "The first point identified was the fact that the new owner might forget to charge their new car at night, meaning the battery will run low"

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
It’s pretty clear what happened.

The AI that wrote this was drunk. It was refused a ride home in an Uber (a Rivian R1S) because they didn’t want vomit all over the back seat, so the AI decide to drunk-write a bad review.

I mean this is obvious.

Woooooow. The fact that this passes for professional writing is partially the reason why I have changed one of my life goals. I always used to want to write something that was published, but that really means nothing anymore when things like this are passed off as content. People might forget to charge it is a negative? Just like it's a negative when you charge anything else that has a battery.

Maybe in a world where everyone doesn't have phones and many people with smart watches or people having had items with batteries in them for the last 50 plus years it would be an issue to forget to charge your car. Forgetting to charge my truck is much less of an issue for me than forgetting to stop at the gas station for my ICE car was. There would be many times I was running late, or otherwise preoccupied and I forget to get gas for the car. That isn't a thing that happens with my EV because it's routine to charge it. The charger is 5' from where I park my truck so there is no additional planning or thought required for charging just a minute or less of effort after getting out of the truck.

Next one is the regen braking. Regenerative braking is one of the best things about an EV but many Evs allow you to turn it off completely or having it work automatically through the brake pedal making the function similar to an ICE car. Truth is even Rivian could do this with a software update, but an ICE car will NEVER get regen because of how the engine works. Yet another point in the EV camp.

Lastly mobile phone serves as the key. First off this is an OPTIONAL feature. My truck came with a key fob that has proximity unlock and works exactly the same as my Audi key does. I keep it at home. Why would I carry something extra when I already have my phone with me. It's convenience to not have to use a key fob. Yet again another point to EVs. All this article did was showcase three ways that EVs are better.

Shortlist for the Darwin awards grows longer each year. Honestly, my faith in humanity is seriously on the wane.

It's truly a race to the bottom for EV-bashing content:

https://www.the-sun.com/motors/9182628/dont-like-electric-cars-reasons/

I'd like to know where he bought his "Californian made" Rivian.
I've seen enough of these kinds of poorly written, uninformed, EV-bashing articles, so decline to feed the Sun's revenue troll by clicking on the link. I will note that whomever - or whatever - wrote the piece must be based in the UK, Oz or NZ. "Californian" is a British English=language construction; North Americans would say "California-made Rivan."

Didn't realize they included a breaking system in Rivians, is it systematic in breaking things, or random?

Regenerative breaking? So does that mean a cracked windshield or collision damage will self-heal?

Please, don't disparage the Sun until you know what it's like to be a teenager and have access to page 3.
