Standard Dual Motor does not get new Gauge View

Service confirmed that Gauge view is only available for Quad motor and performance dual motor. They didn’t make it available for standard dual motor.


Hi, has anyone with a dual motor config received the latest update -2023.38? If yes, are you able to see the Gauge view?
I am not and there is no option to swipe. Check the picture.

huh, why. Knowing battery temp, angles and so on is valuable. That's not Quad specific either. About the only thing Quad specific is the type of motor and clutches used.

They did say quad and performance dual have it. They have to do something to make that 5k dual performance upgrade more desirable.

I hate it and hope I doesn't come to that.

But, nickel and dime-ing as a subscription service seems to be the preferred method of removing income from customers these days.

I think the bummer here is some folks configured standard dual and all Rivian had said to date was there was a horsepower drop from the performance. There was no hint you’d be left out of software features besides Sport drive mode.

you get what you pay for. maybe they will at some point release some of that info to standard dual but i think they should start differentiating the trim levels.

I also noticed that Kneel on Park feature is also not working. The ride feel more stiff and lot more noise from outside.

The standard dual motor truck first says swipe for gauges. When you swipe the message disappears and then nothing happens.

So kind of odd that it shows a swipe message if you don’t get them.

Hmm well I agree that is pretty bad. Not sure I would buy a DM now, no interest in paying for more HP on the performance. They act like paying $70k plus vehicle is so cheap that it shouldn't have premium features.

Not going to take out the pitch forks but really puts into question my future vehicle plans, after my QM R1T warrantees out.
