Well I'm not sure if this is good that mine is in the shop now with an "SOS" error. I'm hoping they don't have to empty out the shop trying to fix all these vehicles with the bad update!

Does this seem early for an update? I was expecting next week but maybe I’m off on my count.
Some are out earlier than others, I’ve seen as few as 3 days between beta and public and as many as 17 days. This one was 10 days.

Anyone who has had the problem with the update, what does your app show? Are you able still get status of the vehicle? What does it say under vehicle update? Trying to figure out if there is any sort of indication from the app that something isn’t right.

I spent time with support and have the same symptoms as others - no center screen (reverse camera works, only one image and no buttons to select a different one), limited driver display and multiple reboots did not fix. I did drive around the block and it SEEMS ok other than no speedometer but who really looks at that anyway…

Also waiting on “sleep cycle” but based on Rivian’s update, that doesn’t seem likely.

This is the second time in as many weeks that they’ve blamed something on “fat fingering”. Mistakes happen, but they’re breaking the golden rule of don’t let the same mistake happen twice.

Wait… what?! Rivian bricked their vehicles beyond virtual repair requiring SC visit?
That’s… fascinating… to say the least.
Fascinating... One word for it. Factoring in the fact that this one was supposed to correct the last screw-up, I am thinking (hoping) there are going to be some heads rolling down the hallways @ Rivian.

It seems the same guy checking panel fitment is doing their software QC... ?

It sucks, but good on him for getting out there and notifying as soon as they identified the issue.
Not aligned on the silver lining here. They royally fucked who knows how many customers. This isnt a minor inconvenience, I need my vehicle tomorrow morning. This is the 2nd time in 9 months of ownerships where my car was not drivable due to a technical issue oversight on their end (April’s app lock out issue). Something this critical needs more checks and validations. If this isn't fixed by the time I wake up my confidence in this company is going to be hit massively.
