Thanks, I've experienced it on every road surface I have driven on. I will just run them all winter and wear them down some to see what happens. I have lost about 25% of my range with the Wild Peaks compared to the original tires. 1.88 m/KwH average compared to 2.48 m/KwH. I'm sure it's a combination of lower temps and the aggressive tread plus all the driving on the WPs has been short trips on mountain highways and roads with big elevation change. Do you have any idea what your range loss has been?

Similar 25% loss, but like you said it's a combination of a lot of factors. The other day I got 2.1 mi/kWh with a really warm battery compared to my new normal 1.8-2 commute. Come spring when ambient temps warm and it's time to swap to AS, I'm going to first swap to 2363s with AS then my Rivian staple 20s with AS and compare them all.

I took one out and had a tire store test it. they told me it was not transmitting. It took about an hour to get it out because they are not easily removed and I was trying to be carful to not damage it. You have to pull them out and it was not easy. I may have damage it when I removed it but since it did not work I assumed all would be bad after removal. The other 3 were just sort of ripped out using a pair of vice grips. I had to remove them all to do a proper job of preparing the wheel for paint. I think the senders were $26 each so I paid the price to get them.
Revisiting this tpms conversation, were you able to reuse/relearn the ram sensors that were on your wheels or did you replace with the Amazon variety?

The dodge senders were the kind that are pressed in, or rather pulled into the wheel. I tried to salvage the first one but could not do it so just pulled all of them out destroying them in the process. I bought the ones from amazon then borrowed the program tool to reprogram. Easy to re-flash them once I figured out what I was doing. Not sure the Dodge ones could have been programed to the Rivian and they were 8 years old and probably need new batteries.

My understanding is the RAM ones use a different hertz to transmit and therefore can't be tied to the Rivian system.

Right, that was my understanding as well. Thanks for clarifying @Jakelake. Wanted to rule them out before buying new sensors since I had the old rams laying around.

Finally on! Thanks everyone for putting this together. Now I just need to sweet talk service into programming the smaller diameter.
Also, anyone have suggestions how to get the hub centric rings off if/when I need to? I realized while lightly tapping them on (with anti-seize coating) that my stock spare now won't fit if needed.

My plan was PB Blaster with some more tapping and prying with non marring tool.

If I got caught roadside and needed to use my Rivian 20" spare... I've an array of knives, multi tools, and other handheld random items in the gear tunnel and under the backseats that I'd try.

Hmm mine seemed pretty tight on the axel but figured I'd do the same in a pinch. And yet rather loose on the wheel. Not sure they are doing much for me, the wheels had been ground down pretty well in there.

I just used a screwdriver when I switched back in the spring.

We were on an offroading trip with NERC, and a couple of us with these wheels got flats and had to change tires. One had the ring stick in the wheel and needed to pop it out to put back on the hub, and mine stuck to the hub so it was easier for me to change. Either scenario could be fixed by gently prying with a screwdriver.

Did you put a similar size tire on your OE spare? Not sure how the software will like the mismatched sizes if not.

Mine is the same 33" OD, just the original +48 offset so sits in more.

With any different diameter, I'd probably put the spare on the rear axle after seeing all the force and Regen defaulting to the front motors. Is that wrong?

The compact spare is significantly smaller than any of the OE Rivian sizes. It's a T195/70/20, which is 30.7" in diameter vs the 20s at 34" and 21/22s at 33". So it really shouldn't matter since there is no mechanical connection between any of the wheels/motors.

Right. As with any diameter different spare, just gotta do what the wife always says...

I'm keeping my AT as my spare, thought process is similar to above that the doughnuts are usually different diameters so would use it to limp somewhere.
For offroading then it'll match, and for on road it's a lot easier to find a 275/60/20 if I'm on a long trip. Hopefully won't have to use it.

My old 330ci has a full size spare but the only time I've needed it I was stuck with a seized wheel and couldn't get it off anyways. Everything else has no spare or a folding one so I'm not overly particular/reliant on them.

I have an old 1/2 inch wide wood chisel I used and now keep with the jack in the truck. The thin edge can be tapped under the edge of the centering ring so it can be pried off. Break it loose and slowly work your way around the ring until it comes off. The anti seize is important.
