I was perusing the user guide and found I have an under seat pocket. Yea! They say your can store registration in there, etc. I opened it and: while I get sunglasses, the gap in the back of this uncovered pivoting tray makes me think registration ... or crossbar keys... or anything small/flat will immediately, under Murphy's law, get pushed through the rear gap into oblivion. Any opinions?

I put my registration in the elastic holder in the center console. I agree it doesn’t seem extremely safe in there. Perfect for sunglasses so that’s how I use it.

The seat storage compartment is used for only sunglass.

Registration and proof of insurance are in a small plastic zippered pouching held by the elastic holder in the center console, same as above, along with the National Parks hangtag.

I do think it's bit ridiculous that R1 doesn't have a lockable storage (i.e., glove box).

Sunglasses. It's even felt lined, but I still keep mine in the microfiber bag. Nothing else!

Sunglasses are about all that's good for.

DO NOT put a cell phone in there lest it lead to a 15 minute wrestling match filled with choice words to get it out (happened on the pax side).

My registration is in the "towing guide book" in the elastic strap int he center console.

I keep a couple of bed cinch down straps in the seat pocket, nothing important in there.

I don't have my R1S yet, but I thought the center console locks. Maybe only when the vehicle is locked? I think I saw a video that shared this information a while ago.

I saw a post by someone working on developing a gun safe for the camp speaker cubby. I'm sure that idea could be modified to a general-use locking storage.
I think they were trying to use fingerprint ID for the lock and could not connect it to the power supply in the cubby. I wonder if they figured that out.

Registration and insurance in an envelope in there. Requires to be kinda "rolled" because the space isn't big enough. Don't see how it would be possible for it to fall out the back when in an envelope.

It does lock when the vehicle is locked.

My phone got stuck in the pocket too and was pushing on the SOS side button. As my husband and I wrestled to get it out ambulances and fire trucks were being alerted. All of my 4 daughters around the country were alerted. Luckily we got the power gone out and called off the Calvary (ie response teams). ???I reported to the forum and there were others like us.
