Customer support told us all the R1's in the shop are 2023 models, but we couldn't pass up the LG , not knowing how long theyd continue to show up for in the R1 Shop

Just did the same. I‘ve always loved the LG but it wasn’t available to me. Tried the link and got a quad, w/ Black Mountain, dark ash interior. My wife’s exact spec but in LG. The funny thing? It’s coming with the 20“ all terrains and was priced lower than the Limestone on 21”, so looks like I save on the paint and rims - bonus! Wife gave me the go ahead to switch colour based on the savings…I think that she might have just inherited the Model S!

I did the exact same thing on Thursday. LG on 20s Black Mountain. Plus, I believe we qualify for the free charger. I reached out to my new guide to confirm this but haven’t heard back. Do you happen to know if the Launch Edition includes a tonneau?

I got a R1S, but I believe that the charger would apply to your R1T. I also see that they’re now retrofitting the automated tonneau so hopefully yours will come with the new, upgraded version. Something else to ask your guide?

All of the Launch Edition vehicles that I see in the shop right now say "No Tonneau, Manual Compatible".

I asked earlier in this thread if anyone buying a vehicle from the shop has asked their guide if they will be able to get pre hike pricing on the powered tonneau V2 when its widely available, but no responses thus far. I fear that shop buyers will have to pay full price for the PTC if they want it later, but I have no data to back that up.

No tonneau. We should get the charger though it says available to Canada but my guide wasn't sure he thought it was a US promo but I read the terms it clearly says Canada.

None of the shop cars are powered tonneau and you will have to pay the full pop price not pre hike for the new powered one unfortunately. It's too bad because the launch vehicles were built a year ago but I guess it's been that long since they stopped putting the powered tonneau in because it was so bad.

The manual tonneau can be added for $1020.

I ended up with launch green ocean coast. A rare combo I believe. But it was $4k less than my config!

My guide confirmed a few things for me yesterday:

• powered tonneau will be available s00n in the gear shop. It will no longer be offered as part of the configuration. Any R1T will be able to support it.
• no word on LTE service plans in Canada, given the free service ends at the end of the year.
• NACS charging adapter will go out to everyone sometime between Feb-Apr. With the NACS charging port standard on 2025 models.

He basically said it's not available yet and won't be pre hike. Which is what I had also always assumed.

Everytime there is a new config it goes to new pricing.

Wait LTE doesn't just "work"? The truck is unusable with no data you can't even tether while moving from what I have read only can tether while in park.

Maybe your guide meant pricing for plans not yet announced. Hopefully we could get a first year free at the very least. Launch editions should get it free forever

This is what the customer service rep told me this morning via chat:

"We currently offer only US access to R1 Shop and we hope to expand this to the Canadian market in the upcoming period".

I guess she is mis-informed if you guys are receiving access to the Shop.

Sounds like she misinterpreted what you asked, because the "GEAR" shop is the one that's currently only available in the US. I've been hearing more and more misinformation from Guides, I know they're all newbies but give them some common knowledge base eh! Read somewhere on fb that buddy was told he could only charge with Rivian branded charger at home or risk voiding warranty ??

Customer service told me that demo drives will start s00n, and that reservation holders will be invited to book their demo drive first.

Lol, by soon they mean we dunno, most reservation holders will be driving their own R1s by the time SC opens for test drives! ?

I recently visited the Chicago Service Center when I was on a trip in the US. The sales guy there told me that they are likely to replace the CCS connector with the NACS much earlier than everyone is thinking.. He hinted at January. I haven't been able to confirm this but it may be worth holding off on the R1 Shop if your estimate is Feb/March (like mine).

Exciting that things are moving though!

I think he meant the "adapters" will be coming in January, I had the same conversation with my Guide who said adapters were targeted to ship in January along with my tonneau and Tailgate pad

Tonneau was offered to us as at $800 when the powered version was canceled. If you had configured originally.
