I do like the winch scenario. From a couple of my last vehicles. You may never need it except to pull a car out of a ditch.

I’d like the ability to add a winch also. Living on the beach I typically help someone get unstuck at least a couple times each week. I’m usually able to just use a tow rope and soft shackles on the tow hooks but every now and then they get further into the muck than they should have gone before bogging and my 25’ tow rope isn’t long enough or it takes a couple of us to unstick them.

So far I haven’t gotten stuck in the Rivian, though I’ve tried, but it’ll happen one day and if I’m alone I’d love to have a winch to self recover.

Eagerly awaiting a good solution for this as well. This is my first truck I can remember not equipped with a winch; kind of feel naked without that safety net!

I think most here can respect that someone might not be a fan of the Rivian face. It's the perception of manliness, or suggested lack of, that draws laughter. That and the use of the word strokes and wad in the same post.

I can also guarantee that any mods people might think makes the Rivian look more manly is going to come across like a balding man's combover. Just learn to rock what you've got.
I bought it, I own it, my bald head that is. I identify with my good looking truck! I do wear a hat, but that is to keep my head warm.
Do you think the R1T needs a bra? I myself fondly remember the braless 70's !

Personally, I'd never purchase a vehicle that I didn't completely like the styling. For me, styling is the number one consideration. So if I don't like the styling, I don't even bother to learn anything else about the vehicle. That said, I do really like Rivian's styling, at least so far with the R1 vehicles. I do like the blacked out/tinted front light bar though... that's a good look. So I'm not opposed to simple styling mods either.

I would like a Dear Guard because it would be cheaper than a new front end and the 6 months it would take to get it. I live in the mountains.
A winch is likely too expensive for me and I would likely never use it. It would be like walking around in public wearing over priced boxing gloves...

Agree on the "deer" guard (autocorrect got ya"?).

For us woodsy folk, a winch is the most basic piece of safety gear. The R1 will never be a legit "adventure" rig until that piece is solved.

I’m one of those crazy types who use a truck like a truck is meant to be used. I’m not a pavement pounder type, nor are my trucks. I haul stuff in it, drive it off road, etc, so style is less important than function. But I dislike the front end.

I'm sure lots of people don't care about styling. I mean, look at all the ugly vehicles on the roads. I can understand function being most important to some people, but for me it's styling above all else. But it's not just styling that matters to me. However, if the styling isn't appealing to my eye, I'll automatically eliminate the vehicle in favor of something else that looks good and meets the rest of my own criteria.

For your situation, maybe try the light bar tint, as it definitely makes a difference. Unfortunately, the stadium lights are something that can't really be changed in any significant way, so your options are definitely limited. I tend to like the "murdered out" look, but obviously that only works on a black vehicle. I also like the Stormtrooper look, but that only works on a white vehicle.

I think a matching the color of the Riv. film over the light bar and shapes of extracted film would work on any color and any shape. From white light thru a matched color bar having shapes from SkullXbones, to hearts, or US flags, or dollar signs... you name it.. Happy Face anyone?
