Groveland CA will actually be an Experience Center, not just RAN. This is from a neighbor who has a Rivian and a place up in Groveland

Any Intel on timeline, this would be a great spot and can't wait for charging here. (That being said isn't this a tight supercharger spot already?)

I received this from a county supervisor, regarding Groveland, Ca.
The project is due to be completed in either late Spring or early Summer of 2024. It will have an indoor commercial space including vending machines and restrooms. CDD will continue making the necessary inspections until the project gets finaled.

It's normal for RAN. The chargers are capable, the current vehicles are not. That's why the chargers are listed as 300kw capable.

Looks like 11 this quarter for Rivian. That’s kind of disappointing. Tesla was over 150 in the US.

We're getting close enough to a meaningful number of NEVI sites that they may be waiting a bit for some of them.

Or just stuck in permitting/installation hell.

The pull through units are about 50 yards from all of the others. They are easy to miss. When you turn left at the hotel look towards the driver's side where the field is. Don't be distracted by the 48 Tesla chargers and the 4 RAN on the right.

You pull straight on into them from the road on the driver's side.

I tried to charge at Santa Nella on my way south on the 19th and unfortunately all of the chargers were down for maintenance.

But I did charge yesterday (28th) on my way back and they were all up and running this time.

The pull-through spaces are so big! There are two spaces in a line and they are by far the longest I've ever seen from an EV charging location in any network. Total usable length about 50 feet each. My little trailer (20ft) fit in with lots of room to spare.

Looks like the Hays Kansas RAN opened up just in time to get to 12 for the 4Q. thats less than the 3Q. Really hope they pick up the pace next year.

Yep, definitely slowing down the last couple of quarters. I'm very surprised by that, considering RJ's comments in several different interviews even since the announcement of the NACS deal. He's discussed "hundreds" of sites in the next 2-3 years, which was their originally-planned pace but delayed (again?). Hard to know where the holdup is. Is it a strategic financial decision? Are they slow-playing until NACS transition is further along? Is there a parts or manufacturing issue? Are they stuck in permit and local construction hell and having to spend more resources on that than anticipated? Hard to tell from the outside.

In 2023, they opened a total of 55 new RAN sites for a total of 64 sites. They added 11, 18, 14, 12 by quarter.

They've got 17 on the map "coming s00n".

Here are the routes or clusters they've built or are coming soon as of 1/1/24:

• 2-3 lines of north-south in the pacific coast states
• An eastward spread from SoCal into AZ
• Colorado cluster
• TX cluster
• Blue Ridge Parkway north-south route
• Beginnings of a 2nd eastern north-south route
• Michigan, which is now starting to leak into Ohio on its way to connecting with the eastern routes along I-70.
• Very early beginnings of their first transnational east-west route along I-70

Could definitely be a lot of things to explain it. Couple of my thoughts to add to yours: They might be having issues with testing them with their 800V cars internally. Might be reprioritizing for areas that the Tesla supercharger network doesn't meet their ~100 miles between stations requirement.

At this rate it will be 2030 by the time they get to their 600 sites. Was hoping them to get close to that by 2025 but that looks impossible now.
