Maybe “Purchaser Rivian Account ID status” means original purchases or leases directly from Rivian, so used 3rd party owners don’t qualify under these terms?

Could be, but I can also take it as making sure the accounts match. Says nothing about where the R1 came from, just have to have one tied to the same account.

Well that sucks. I've been a reservation holder for nearly 5 1/2 years and didn't get an email. They should also offer this to those reservation holders that paid their non refundable $1,000.

Once you get your R1 - apparently purchased directly from Rivian - seems like you’ll be bumped into Priority Status, assuming this offer is still available on your delivery date.

Tesla did something similar in the beginning. I was early Model S and Model X owner, and at that time Tesla prioritized S/X owners for the Model 3, which I reserved and took fairly early delivery (VIN 3,000-ish).

So umm, I actually like it when they favor YouTubers. It's called "the press" and how else do we learn about the cars? What good does it serve the community to have the first 1,000 go to people with $500k+ / year income to use as toys then sell at a profit a month later?

Sticking a Rivian in Kyle's hands serves both the brand and our interests.

If the Priority status gives you a warm fuzzy, right on! I love the enthusiasm and excitement. Reminds me of the early R1 days. We had 'Priority' status too, but didn't amount to much and still had to travel over 100 miles to pick it up after many delays. Different times, of course. Will be interesting to see how this 'priority' pans out. I don't put much stake into it and frankly see it as more of a gimmick.

It doesn’t matter how you bought or leased the R1, just as long as they’re registered in the same account. I bought my R1S in a private sale but it is in my account and I got the email - after I made two R2 deposits during the presentation.

This is nice perk for us, but I also like that it’s an incentive for new Rivian customers to buy or lease an R1 now, rather than just wait for R2. Like how Tesla offered Cybertruck reservation holders a $1000 discount on a car, to tide them over during the wait.

What happens when you click on your existing R1 in your account? For some it's coming up with a "We got a bit off track. Let's get you back on the right path." page. I'm thinking there is some sort of disconnect on the back end that is causing those people to not receive the "priority" email for a R2 reservation.

This is what I see - my R1S (labeled as R1S 01), with two reservations (labeled as R2 02 and R2 03) below.
