I have a feeling the quad motor Bosch versions will make these early R1's highly sought after in about 10 years.

I don't think so, but I think the DMP goes to a tri motor at the QM price and the introduce a PQM at a higher price.

Lineup R1T:

DM starts at $69.9K
TRI Starts at $87k
QM Starts at $90-95k

Didn’t the R3 have yellow calipers? I suppose they were hidden by the aero wheels so it could’ve been hard to notice. The R2 may get yellow calipers too?

Orange / red - whatever for the R3X. I only saw the reveal video and noticed the R3X had the colored calipers. Didn’t notice anything for the R2 or R3, but good call on the close ups.

My guess is that it will probably only be a top trim thing, same as with the Quads for R1

I agree. Seems logical to only paint the brakes on the top spec versions of each vehicle.

I like the new wheels for the R2 and R3. I also like the colorful brake calipers. I would like them not to reuse any color. Each color should be specific to a model.

Strangely, I can only see QM, Large battery vehicles in the shop right now. All the DM/PDM and other battery options have disappeared. There for 195+ vehicles in the shop yesterday…now 125 total

Now down to 40! 2023 models are all gone.

I think the quad will certainly become less popular when people have a lower cost option and don't care about the extra performance. But I don't think they go away, just like the S variations. It would not surprise me to see an R1 Quad Enduro with 1000+ hp.

I have the quad motor launch and really enjoy it, but I agree - I think the only place you could see a difference (and then with measuring equipment) is the launch time.

I have notices the passing power at speed is pretty insane (so much so that I will find myself going much faster than I thought when I initially pass someone, particularly when I first got the car) but I imagine dual performance has that.
