Stockholder's meeting is June 18th at 1pm EST. I expect that to be the latest date for Rivian to keep all the refresh information non-public and anticipate sales starting shortly after that.
I dunno about latest. Isn't there investor day June 27?

Agree. That's the one regret I have with my R1T. Wish I would have went with the 20" wheels and then gone to AS after the AT wore out.
At least this will prompt people to go for the proper sized tires and not the freebie.

It looks like the new LFP is about 2% more efficient at the HWY test and like 10% more efficient at UDDS. I wonder if they're going to use the standard+ battery to get about the same range as the QM Large, then drop the large, and then the DM Max will get a little range boost to better differentiate.

I don't think standard+ will be a thing in 2025.

Very thankful I ditched my 21" wheels when I did and didn't try and hold out for some new options.
I decided to not ditch mine and even bought a used spare back when they were still hard to find. I had a flat that I plugged and needed to switch that one to my spare. I needed the range, but might regret that decision now. I doubt Pirelli discontinues the tires in the near future, but it perhaps the Michelin Defender and other potential alternatives will just get dropped now.

ICE only :(
If they really have ditched the 21" option, I will probably grab an aftermarket 20" wheel when my OEM set die.

That Michelin Defender's load rating of 113 isn't high enough, unfortunately. Would be theoretically fine at the GWVR, but with a lower safety margin/buffer than it should have.

There is one that is a direct match but doesn't seem to be available yet.

That would make sense if their intent was to effectively punt on Q1/2 of this year and then try to blow it out in Q3/4 with big production/delivery numbers combined with their intent to hit positive gross margins.
This is definitely what it feels like. Q2 is a wash, get rid of the v1 inventory. Hope the refresh will entice buyers for Q4 and bet on a better macroeconomic environment in H1 25.

It makes sense that Rivian guided basically zero growth this year. Perfect time to just shut down the plant and make the upgrades.

Couple of my takeaways from this document that I didn't anticipate learning.

Test results: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/attachments/foi_srivt00-01l2_appipt1_041024-pdf.96359/

-R1 still uses CCS ports.
-21" Wheels seem like they may have been eliminated starting in 2025, most efficient option became a 22" aero wheel.
-2025 models will have heat pumps.
-AC compressor was relocated to improve NVH.
-DC and AC charging rates appear unchanged for the LFP vehicles.
-Still only 15A 120V outlets off the AC inverter.
-LFP standard range appears to match the existing rating for software locked non-LFP standard range batteries, but is appreciably more efficient considering battery size went from 105.9 kWh to 92.5 kWh
-Battery weight went from 796 kg to 727 kg, Volume from 562L to 505L.
-GVWR unchanged, R1 Vehicle weight without battery weight difference is inconclusive since optional equipment is not mentioned in either 2024 or 2025 documents.
-Peregrine program named confirmed by the EPA document.
Thanks for your insight and for continually providing these type of updates for the community. A few questions for the community:

1. Will Rivian exhaust all current inventory prior to volume deliveries of the updated R1?

2. If Q3/Q4 are the only production quarters for R1s, what is the probability of hitting 57,000 deliveries for 2024, and how many of that 57K will be R1s?

Q2 looks to be very challenging for the company.....

21 wheel discontinue is not that curious to me at least as there is lots of info on this forum and just general physics that smaller wheels aka 20’s on AS 275/60/20 tires are more efficient than the 21’s.
Having three wheel sizes was a complete waste of production efficiency especially considering the goofy wheel size. The 21" was a poor business decision.
