This morning I had an unexpected alert to move my truck once it reached 68%. I am on a road trip and had set it to 100%. Does anyone know if the new Rivian app or some change in the charging network limits the charge to 68%?

For busy chargers I actually like the limit, but they should definitely warn you. I have never seen another vehicle at these particular chargers.

That doesn't appear to be a limit. Just merely a courtesy notification.

Was it still charging or had it stopped? I only get that notification when I’ve reached the limit and it’s stopped.

I get that notification, at charging levels where I didn't intend it, when my fingers have unintentionally re-set the charging target in the app. Very easy to do.

Best wishes, @prestapost!

It stopped and ended up charging me an idle fee. Maybe I fat-fingered something like @cbrcanuck suggested. I’ll try again on my way back home.

Standard notification is what it looks like. No reason to assume capped unless you attempt to charge again unsuccessfully. There hasn’t been any announcements of caps. And there is no way for them to know location is busy with a queue of cars.

There's multiple Rivian notifications stacked there. The one on top looks like the "you have enough to continue on your trip" notification, rather than you've been shut off.

I'd be curious if there was an additional notification below that.

It's possible something went wrong and the charging stopped for some other reason.

Or 68% is the plan the nav has plotted for that stop?

Yeah, I wasn't clear, I think the 68% is the navigation's plan. That's what the visible notice means, but it won't stop you from charging more—or at least, it hasn't in my experience at any charger.

The only time I've seen something like that in the past was on our Tesla, where it would notify us at the start of charging that our limit was lowered to 80% due to being a busy charger (which was not true, given where we were). And in that case I was able to override it if I wanted or needed.

It's just a notification, and I found it amusing that it also does it when charging at the service center. They gave it back at 80%.

The other notification in the stack was a Battery low: Your vehicle is low on range. Charge up when you can.

I’m pretty sure @cbrcanuck is right. I just accidentally slid the bar when checking status.

This has happened to me before when the charger stops suddenly. It thinks I've stopped it and gives me that notification. This summer I have noticed that the RAN chargers tend of overheat and shut off when I'm charging. I started putting a towel over the charger handle and that helps it from shutting off

Sooo RAN didn't limit you, it shut off because of a vehicle limit or other vehicle reason, not RAN action. Can you update title?

Edit to add:
I get this at home sometimes when I hit my set limit.

I have hit some L2 chargers that have say, a 4 hour limit. They stop and you can't use them again until the next day after you hit 4 hours. Even if you do 2+2 they just end at 4.

More likely to be the charger than the truck.
