Paitence. August is just around the corner. You will hear from them when they have a VIN for you. That's how it's been for a long time and now that there are no more guides there is minimal communication until your order is ready.

I have a guide or at least he is acting just like the guide for my first truck.

How are you all keeping your cool? I ordered my R1S on June 6. Not a word since beside the reservation confirmation. Sales Rep can't say anything either. Delivery schedule is August - September, how are there no updates to manage expectations? Already seeing similar configs in the shop, which makes it even worse - they're building for the shop but not the custom orders? It would be awesome to get updates about when your car is scheduled to be built etc.

Gee, and I thought waiting ten months with no word was bad?. They reached out and said your truck is on its way. Three weeks later I drove it home. Be chill, a lot of people waited two, three years.

It has been over 4.5 years since I placed a deposit on a Tesla Cybertruck. I will probably be waiting until 2025 before non Foundation Series trucks start production. Patience grasshopper.

My dad used to tell me how he walked in the snow to med school and dried his socks on the radiator and then walked back home at night and did the same thing. It made me think how lucky I was to have it so easy, until one of his classmates told me my old man was the biggest partier in his batch. Not sure how he ever graduated.

As others have said use this time to become familiar with a Rivian . Actually read the owners manual so you know how to adjust seats , steering wheel and mirrors before you go to pick up the vehicle. And if you know anyone that owns a Rivian see if they will let you drive it a few miles so the tremendous acceleration and regen doesn’t cause you to freak out. Great vehicles to drive but you need to read the manual.

What update would you like…you have a delivery window that’s nearly 1.5 years less “wait and be patient” than everyone before you…

I think I might gotten some news update in general from Rivian once in a quarter during my year wait.It’s the same right now for the NACS adapter.
