You can use the SongShift app to migrate Spotify playlists/songs you've liked to Apple Music. I'm not totally sure if a free account can use it though. At one time I thought I might move from Spotify to Apple Music, but I couldn't do it. The song discovery features in Spotify kept me coming back.
My daughter just told me Spotify is way better for playlists and song discovery like you said....might have to stick with Spotify...those are pretty big to me...

I will just try Apple Music and see if the Dolby is actually something I like. Might end up being odd sounding too.

Is this update & Apple Music available to Gen1 vehicles?

I hope "Connect+" only ADDS functionality for willing subscription users rather than stripping features and functionality from customers who already were "sold" a lifetime of connectivity and software updates when purchasing their Rivian initially. Nothing infuriates me more than companies that initially market and sell something to you, only to turn off part of those included features later, holding them hostage to extort additional money from their existing customer base.

Somewhat related - I purchased a "Rain Machine" digital irrigation controller for my lawn that allowed me to control my sprinklers from anywhere with an app on my phone (it was novel for irrigation systems 2018). It used my existing wifi network to do this and that's exactly why I was willing to take a risk on a new company and pay a premium. I took a chance on a new, relatively unknown product that cost twice the price of a common"Rainbird" system that a contractor might install in a new home, but the added functionality justified the cost. After about 3 years of ownership, the company decides that remote access is now only going to be part of their new "Premium" subscription service and they shut off my access from anywhere outside of my local network. You can't imagine how strongly worded my customer support email was. Using a backdoor technique to "update" a product that was already paid for so that part of its intended functionality (using my existing network equipment and connection) could be shut off and held hostage to milk additional payments out of customers who have already paid full price and essentially concluded their business with you. It's nothing short of piracy.

It's like someone from McDonald 's showing up at my house and taking the open ranch dressing containers from my kid's chicken nugget happy meals, while they are eating them, and saying that I need to join the "premium sauce club" for $5 a month if they want to keep dipping their nuggets.

120V system being active keeps the 12V outlets active as well. Otherwise the 12V outlets time out after some time period.

I do believe this might not apply to the 12V on the 7-pin trailer outlet, which seems like it's active all the time. I need to do more testing on that though.
This was my assumption about the 12V outlets too which is a bummer. I'd also been assuming there's a non-zero amount of loss when running the 120V inverter without any load plugged in as well, so powering an efficient 12V fridge overnight is more wasteful than it should be.

One option I've used is to get a smaller (250-500 Wh) battery pack and run the fridge off that with 12V and then plug the battery into the 12V or 120V so it gets topped up when you're in/using the truck.

Yeah this is the same as I would do with an ICE vehicle, which seems silly when I'm driving around a 3.5 ton rechargeable battery pack ? I just want to turn on the DC outlets without turning on the AC ones, but I'm sure the phantom loss isn't horrifying either way.

@Rizzian Fell into the Rain Machine problem, too. If you have an iPhone, you can use the Home app to control while not on your network. And, not pay the premium subscription. :) Not granular controls, but enough for on/off and timer. It’s nice for blow-out time as some of my zones are too far away from the wifi.

… and complaints about complaints have already started.
Bringing out Connect+ without major features is a legit complaint. And where in Hades is Google Maps data for the OEM Nav? There are some really good improvements in the new release but Connect+ has been half-assed.

Would really like youtube music since I pay for youtube premium AND spotify now.

Would certainly soften the blow of paying for data on my truck

I'm mixed on starting the trial run of paying for connectivity without adding video streaming so people can test it out. But at least they added the ability to use the Wifi from your phone. I guess you can test out some of the new features that way when they are released.

Does the Apple Music update include Atmos audio within Apple Music or is that coming later?
