Oh come on, Rivian likes you better than me? I'm still waiting on my 03/22 31XX VIN R1T. By this point it seems like I'll end up getting an adapter meant for my R1S first.

I think that's exactly what's going on with you unfortunately. Database, data entry, or other clerical error at this point. No way you should not have at least one adapter by now. And I doubt CSR is going to help you at this point.

We're planning a trip with our camper down to TN in October. I think we will probably be able to manage without Tesla at all, but it's going to mean going out of our way in a few cases where the Tesla station is ideally situated.

I apologize if this has been answered as I didn’t read through the entire thread. I’m taking delivery of a Gen 2 RS1 next month (9/17 as of now). Will the adapter come with the vehicle at delivery or will I have to request it?

Thanks & can’t wait to be an owner. Did a demo & reserved one the next day with the current lease deals going on. The ride, technology, & interior sold me.

You will not receive an adapter at the time of delivery. You will be placed in line to receive your adapter at a later date.

I pushed CS harder on the issue and they actually decided to blame Tesla and Volex instead of themselves. I suppose I'll accept that response.

Opal is a March, 2023 Factory Delivery. I thought we might be getting close, but with all this chatter, now I am wondering. I did go ahead and order an A2Z adapter a couple of weeks ago. I am hoping to receive it in the next couple of weeks. I have read here on these Forums that the A2Z adapter is of better quality than the unit provided by Rivian/Tesla. I plan to use the Rivian/Tesla unit as a back-up.

A2Z currently has a deal on their adapters. You can get the A2Z Typhoon Pro NACS to CCS1 DC Adapter ($215) and the A2Z Stellar Plug NACS to J1772 AC adapter ($113). This is what I ordered. You will need the Stellar Plug if you ever want to use a Tesla Level 2 Detination Charger. These are found at many hotels, restaurants, etc. You will also need this adapter in the future as all level 2 chargers will eventually be using the J3400 (NACS) plug.
