Apple Music STILL doesn't resume (2024.35)

From the 2024.35 release notes:

Apple Music improvements
Fixed an issue that prevented Apple Music from resuming following a wake from sleep.

It still doesn't resume where it left off when I get back in my gen 2. Is it resuming properly for anyone else?

Nope.. doesn’t resume and I also can’t make it past two tracks before I get the no internet connection display. I can’t get data on Apple Music to load until the car wakes from a deep sleep and that’s if I’m lucky.

Same here and after the update to 2024.35it completely stopped working. I had to sign-out of apple music and sign back-in to make it work again. When it was not working I initially though AT&T's connection was bad. But Spotify and Alexa music was working fine.

Very interesting.. since the last update, I've had 0 bugs with apple music while I'm driving. The only real bug I've seen is not resuming after sleep

Same. Gen 1 non meridian.
I hated the volume swings so I turned off Spatial Audio. After that it resumed as good as Spotify. Stopped freezing etc.
I wonder if it’s a bitrate thing.

I did this before and after the recent update. Still same issues. I still got the volume swings after. So I leave it off.
I want to stick with BT/phone, but that doesn’t auto resume either.

TLDR: It might be worth turning off special audio in the apple settings.

Good call that it could be tied to Dolby atmos. I want to try that. The volume issue is solved for me on .35

Doesn’t resume for me on my Gen 1 with Meridian. So who knows what’s really going on. Maybe I’ll turn the Spatial Audio off. Is yours on or off?

Same here. I used to be able to skip to the next track and then unpause to get it to play, but now I have to tap on a song or album.

Odd, that's the behavior I experienced with .31, but.35 fixed it and I can now just hit play

This is weirdly not unique to either Apple Music or Rivian. In both my R1T and now multiple Volvos (an XC90 and an XC40), the FM radio is often turned off when I start the car, even though it was definitely on when I parked.

I miss power buttons and volume knobs…
