Sure, but we are going on 3 weeks and Rivian is tight lip about itThe logs will tell you what happened, one way or another.
Not to be that guy, but I've driven alot of miles with alot of people and never had them looking at the position of my feet...Nope! Two people in the car looking at my foot on the break. The car malfunctioned and it’s a safety issue
Yes, but we were both scared and she kept telling me to stop. I told her look at my foot it’s on the break!! So yeah she looked at it. There’s no way to power the car down I had no idea what else to do. Hitting the break was the only optionNot to be that guy, but I've driven alot of miles with alot of people and never had them looking at the position of my feet...
And by the way this was while trying to park my car. So I was not at any speed to begin with!! The whole thing is weird, I get it. But it’s a safety concern. like you were there? you have no idea how hard or soft he hit the accelerator. s/w and h/w can fail or have errors. So you DID hit the accelerator but you just hit it too hard? This car has 835HP and instantaneous torque. Maybe you should just switch to something not quite as fast? Yeah I would say sudden launch speed acceleration when you're pulling into a parking spot would be an issue, which is why I don't mash the throttle when pulling into a sparking spot. You obviously did push "that hard" because the truck surged forward.
That sounds scary. And I know hindsight is 20/20, but there is an emergency stop that gets applied by holding the button on the end of the right stalk. And by the way this was while trying to park my car. To quote an earlier post in this thread -Nope! Two people in the car looking at my foot on the break. The car malfunctioned and it’s a safety issue
That's because you have 2 left feet. Not to be that guy, but I've driven alot of miles with alot of people and never had them looking at the position of my feet...
You clearly know my wife! That's because you have 2 left feet.
@lorenaferry were you touching the stalk at all? I've found myself switching gears at low speeds as parking and sometimes thinking "did I already hit that? Better not try again, don't want to cruise control into this spot."That sounds scary. And I know hindsight is 20/20, but there is an emergency stop that gets applied by holding the button on the end of the right stalk.
Thank you that is actually a helpful comment. I will look into it once I get my car back. That sounds scary. And I know hindsight is 20/20, but there is an emergency stop that gets applied by holding the button on the end of the right stalk.
At one point I was. I moved forward then I was trying to back into the parking spot.@lorenaferry were you touching the stalk at all?
