There is one coming in Normal, IL near the factory, though! There likely are more coming near national parks, like the Joshua Tree one. They’d make a killing with some near Yellowstone!
And Moab, etc.. Count on them among plans. Just a matter of time and resource allocation.

I really wish they would focus more on areas with little to no charging options (besides old superchargers). But I do understand needing to be in locations so that they can make money.

Talk about Adventure I'm waiting on a R1S TriMax and trying to figure out how I make it from Boulder, CO to Bozeman MT. I'm hoping that the phone app. gives me more optimistic charging station options to make that 700 mile trip once I've actually taken delivery than what I currently see available on the app. Crossing Wyoming is a long relatively empty journey anytime of year and the winter's snow and hurricane force winds from the west give me pause to attempt it with the so few charging station options. Made the drive many times in an GX450 in winter but the fuel consumption was ridiculous and gas stations common.
Tesla has a supercharger in development in Buffalo, WY that will ease your pain. TBD so it might be a few months.

Still no central NJ service center, to be honest that is all I care about. The wait times in the NY metro area are terrible and no one should have to drive to Brooklyn.

Agreed. I’ve done the trip to Brooklyn a few times since Sept. 2022. It sucks.

Blauvelt NY has a service center now which is similar distance for me as Brooklyn but a much nicer commute than dealing with NYC. Not sure if that helps you from Central NJ though.

Well, how about being in a country with zero RAN stations and apparently no plans to build one. All one has to do is drive for a day in Greater Vancouver to see how many RivIans there are here. A trip to Whistler reveals the same. Oh well. We still can’t buy a t-shirt online and have it delivered to Canada. We can buy a vehicle though! Very glad I did.

Also, you might know this already, but they have service centers planned for Woodbridge, Edison, and Trenton areas.

I am going to be making this trip in a couple days and will see how it goes. Definitely wish there were a few more charging options in northern WY.

Yeah I picked mine up in Feb-23 in Brooklyn, horrific. Then it had to be serviced due to a jammed charge door. Told them I will never go back there so mobile it is. When I picked it up in Feb-23 they said Edison was opening any day now.... still not there. Trenton is open but there is a 2 month wait for an appointment. With all the money and heavy EV adoption in the ti-state area they need more, not sure what the challenge is. People, permits, etc etc.?

When I got my R1T, they were doing mobile a lot and it was obviously convenient, but that seemed to change for some reason in early 2023 and they started directing to me to Brooklyn, even for things that I thought could easily be handled by a mobile tech.

I have a few things for them to look at now, that should be mobile appointments. If not, Blauvelt it is, because they should shut Brooklyn down. It’s not convenient for anybody, not even the people in New York City. Some of the people that work there are from Long Island and it takes them over two hours to get to work.

Yeah I need 2 new card keys as they both stopped working. My last trip to Brooklyn took me over 2 hours each way, not doing that ever again.

I have to question why continue investing in the Rivian charging system when Tesla has such a lead in that area.
Because we don't need another Standard Oil situation. Diversity is good and will keep pricing somewhat honest. And the shear number of charging deserts in the Tesla network out west is way too high for NACS access. Most of the installed chargers are V2, which we don't have access to.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_Oil

Still nothing in northern CO :crying: Come on Bruh!
Specifically I-76...no V3 Tesla stations and no RAN. When I towed the race car out to Eastern Nebraska that stretch from Ft Morgan to Ogallala was horrible. The chargers in Sterling weren't viable because it was two Chargepoint units downtown where a trailer wouldn't have been a good idea, so I had to stretch it around 130 miles.
