I'm grateful to have free charging at home albeit 120v 20amp circuit. To my surprise it only charges at 3 mph (1.7kw). My previous Model Y would charge at 4 mph. What would cause a slower charge? Truck shows charging at 16 amps. I'm averaging 1.15% per hour.

Bigger battery means smaller percent charge gained at each voltage. Same thing with miles of range, lower efficiency means more energy is required to move the vehicle. Nothing unexpected with this.

I think what's happening is the kw is the same between your Y and r1t, except the Y is more efficient so you get more miles per kwh.

Said another way, kw is the same but miles per kwh is lower when you drive you r1t
