I believe they'll continue to replace welded subframes when out of warranty. It's a known problem and could be subject to a recall. Since they are replacing for free, no one is really snitching.

anyone have any knowledge of what to look for on the front sub frame either for

a) whether it's the v1/welded version or not
b) where to look for failed welds / cracks

'22 VIN 55xx (delivered June 2022). Snapped a few photos but seems like I'd need to remove the front shield to get a better view of the subframe. the control arms appear to be attached to welded attachment points, not sure if those are the welds that fail, if so seems like it could be pretty bad.

That appears to be the welded subframe.

Fun fact, the center screens are liquid cooled.
I have one on my workbench... it's very light and has no coolant lines, internal fan or pump of any kind. Are we considering thermal heat transfer paste of some sort liquid cooling? It does have an outer case that is made of magnesium that aids in cooling. I've read both stories and one stated that a tech said they weren't, but the AXM module (not sure what that is) was liquid cooled.

After looking at the screen I have, I'm siding with... it isn't liquid cooled.
