Such confidenceIt will likely disappoint. Rivian doesn’t have the resources or talent to do this right. If they haven’t outsourced most of it already, they will.
When it comes to autonomy related features, unfortunately they're kinda limited to what mobile eye offers. And that may not be something they offer on the hardware in Gen 1Don't know why they couldn't alert you on a Gen 1 when the car drives away.
Glad to see what changes they made with vampire drain.
Where is launch mode for Gen 1's????????

Do you still own a Rivian? If so, why? All you do is complain. If I hated my vehicle that much I would have sold it a long time ago and I sure as hell wouldn’t be hanging out on the forums. It will likely disappoint. Because Gen 1 development is dead.Don't know why they couldn't alert you on a Gen 1 when the car drives away.

Gen 2 uses MobileEye as well.Such confidence
Gen 1 WAS outsourced. That's why it fell so short of expectations. Gen 2 has an in house system. Improvements have been big and very fast since launch. Still a long way to catch up to competition, but they've gotten WAY farther with an in house system than they ever got with the original outsourced system
True - a dual system with mobile eye and rivianGen 2 uses MobileEye as well.

Wow! Did not expect hands free highway assist so soon! Go chime is also an unexpected nice surprise!
Gen1 hands-free development has been growing for a while. I believe they call it Project QT.Because Gen 1 development is dead.
Ha ha ha nutritious AND helpful! How the hell did it take me this long to ignore you?

However, it isn't fully functional on all roads. Standby for Project Ugli updates, I believe it'll work better.
"Why was I swerving? Well, officer, my Doug ate my ADAS..."Ha ha ha nutritious AND helpful!
What a handy snack!
...or not ?
I’m not sure why they prioritized this. It’s hard not to notice the vehicle in front of you moving. What is much more useful is Tesla’s “ding on light change”, which goes off when you‘re the first car at the light. I guess that was too hard. While you’re at a stop, Go Chime alerts you when the vehicle ahead of you drivers away.
That means the system will half work. And that half will be Mobileye.True - a dual system with mobile eye and rivian
Because of the release note, say, “vehicle chime when stopped and the vehicle ahead of you pulls away “. It does not say anything about functionality for a stoplight…Curious as to why you think it wouldn't work if you're in the front of the line at a stop light?
I imagine that'd it'd work based on the signal lights themselves. Considering being that close to the light(s) along with the high mounted camera.
Overall I'm very excited for this update!
