R1S order early September 2021. I did not get an email and based on what I'm reading here I'm expecting mid to late 2023 delivery. I think that's OK although not sure I wish to wait that long. Upside is perhaps a few improvements and more options by then. Downside obv. the brutal wait.

Pretty sure geography is killing me here. I saw someone with similar config, one month earlier, with an April-May window. They’re in California.

I'm an hour north of Boston and got a March/April timeframe. I ordered in early 2019 though (R1T, LE, white) so I'm guessing it's more about reservation date than it is about geography.

*Edit: Rivian CS says they don't have that information yet but would gladly switch my reservation to a Max Pack now.

By Sept 2023 there will be several options from multiple builders that might be better and cost less.

Received the following through Rivian chat:

I think the delay for the email may be that you have two on preorder. Our team wanted to be extra careful on the delivery window for those that have multiple vehicles on preorder and be very specific on which one would be delivered and when. So those emails are manual instead of mass-generated.

To repeat for those that haven't read all 27 pages, only those with a single LE reservation were provided a delivery window yesterday. Everyone else should receive their delivery window before the end of the year.

I think its our Res date. I was the same week as you, but R1S. Same window. They mustve gotten a ton of activity mid/late 2020. I

That’s the datapoint I was missing that proves it out. Or rather disproves my paranoia. Thanks, I’ll be watching for those telltale headlights next time I drive north!

The schedule pattern we have experienced so far is over promising and under delivering. Time for a change! Important to do so as and when they are able to ramp up production and iron out flaws.

As much as I'd love to have my R1T sooner than later, I know that one of the biggest drivers (yeah, another pun. I know...) is my desire to connect with people like yourself once we get our Rivians. Our meetups around the country should be great fun and one of the best aspects of this adventure. Realizing that Winter isn't the best time for many of these activities (at least in the Northwest), another five or so months doesn't phase me in the least.

Pay a visit! Coming to Jackson and the Tetons? More room, less traffic, better weather, April - May, September - October. Or explore Wind River Range June - August. ?
