Can we even purchase OEM parts or is this an Ebay thing?

Dang. Cause they won't sell it direct? You can but it’s either eBay or you need Rivian to install it for you. They quoted me $1100 for the center liftgate light on my previous R1S when it got damage.
I believe so but I am not sure. For instance I live in California where, if I am not mistaken, they are obligated by law to allow me to repair myself. I didn’t press them hard on this so I don’t know if they would’ve just sold me the light bar if I did. I never ended up replacing it and then got a Gen2 (the damage was very minor and couldn’t justify spending $1100 on it).Dang. Cause they won't sell it direct?
Pinged you on DM.I have my old one from a gen2 with slight damage. Would you want it?
Did you do it yourself or take it to the service center? I just bought one on eBay and was planning on replacing it today but I couldn't find anything on how to remove the back panel to get to it. My fear is what you mentioned about one time use of the top trim.I just had it replaced on my R1T after bumping into something and cracking mine.
$1065 for the tail light.
$190 for the cap on the R1T lift gate that is one time use (all the clips break when you remove it)… and it has to come off to pull the large panel off to get access.
If you open a service ticket, they will ship you the parts if you ask them. But if you are near a service center, it takes less than an hour for them to fix it.
Agreed! Those top pads are way too easy to damage. We don't have a replacement on the books right now, however, I can get you a new replacement in the meantime. Feel free to shoot me a message should that be of interest. Can we even purchase OEM parts or is this an Ebay thing?
