I have a Prinsu Pro rack shipping soon. Anyone know how high it is off the roof compared to the Rivian Cargo Crossbars?

I currently have 3 crossbars and I realize they are actually not level (the front and the rear are both a little bit lower than the middle). If you happen to know how the Prinsu platform relates to all that variation you'd be my hero, but just a general height compared to the middle crossbar would be great.

Front mounting point 3 3/4”
Middle mounting point 3 1/4”
Rear mounting point 3 1/2”

And to give you an idea of how I measured-

You can kind of see the slope of the roof compared to the printer in this picture -

For others who are interested:

The OEM crossbars by my measurements are 3 3/4" at the same locations, and also slightly bow upward (at least 1/4" possibly ½") as you get to the center of the roof.

If you lay a bar level across the tops of the different crossbars, the front crossbar is ½" lower than the middle and the back crossbar is 1/4" lower than the middle.

So the Prinsu is first of all dead level (or at least aligned with the camp mode leveling), but also reduces your overall height by ½" at the edge and as much as 1" inch in the center.

For me this is great news, as my goal was to create a super low profile camping rig that I can keep on the roof all the time and still fit in my garage without being too cautious every time I pull in. Not to mention the highway noise and efficiency gains.

I'd be curious to know how much lower the Prospeed low profile rack gets, but ultimately I needed the higher load ratings of the Prinsu.

I just added the new Mars Adventure Gear roof rack. Good time to add any others if there happens to be anything else out there these days.
Im looking into racks and RTT right now. Van44 seems to be another option?

Can anyone tell me if they've received the prospeed rack for the R1S? Or is it vaporware outside of the demo car build?

I have an order in from end of April, with a 6-8 week lead time they say, just wondering if its something I'll actually get to use this summer with RTT. I went with this because of the low profile nature but might have to switch thinking to soemthing thats actually in stock and shipping.

I'm still waiting on someone to independently review the Prospeed rack. I like the looks of that one the most, and due to the low profile, it should have the smallest efficiency hit along with minimal anxiety in low clearance situations as it sits below the OEM shark fin antenna. The only thing I'm concerned about is mounting accessories to it, due to some mounting hardware having long fasteners that may interfere with the roof glass being in such close proximity to it. I'm sure it's fine, but I still yearn for more than just the one set of photos I've seen on their product page.
I'm now starting to consider a roof rack to replace my current 3 crossbar setup, but right now, the ProSpeed Roof Rack is looking more and more like vaporware...which is disappointing because this is the one that I am leaning towards. I like its aesthetics, as well as its low profile and what appears to be its rear tapered design.

I'm hoping that someone has experience with the company and the R1S roof rack specifically, and can report back and advise. I'll also plan to reach out to the company directly and report back if there is anything of note.

Does anyone here actually own the Mars rack for the R1S? I'm struggling to find info or videos on it outside of what Mars itself has posted and shared.

I’ve been extremely happy with my Frontrunner Slimline II. I was initially worried that the wind fairing might crack the glass since it does contact the front edge of it. If had this rack on 100% of the time for 18 months and zero issues.

the way it connects to the mounting points is as solid as it can get, 1000% sturdier that the flimsy mounting claws of the OEM cross bars (which I was happy to return to the Rivian Space).

I’ve had everything from a 170lb RTT to Roam Boxes, the 7’ Kammack awning & a 7 gallon water tank.
I love that I can just go to Home Depot and buy the appropriate length hex bolts to slide into the T-slots.

it does stick out a bit on the rear end since the platform is a uniform width all the way down. For me, however. I needed a rack wide and long enough to fit my full length RTT.

Mars is having a sale on their roof rack + RTT combo if you're in the market for something like that

To follow up on this...I reached out to ProSpeed Racks to inquire about their R1S roof rack. Below are my questions, as well as their answers:

1. Please confirm/clarify the usage of 6061 1/4" aluminum in the construction of the roof rack.
2. Is the weight rating the same or higher than: 300lbs dynamic and 600lbs static? I require heavier load ratings for my RTT, awnings, and people in the tent.
3. How many crossbars are included for the R1S roof rack?
4. What is the height from the bottom of the rack/top of vehicle roof, to the bottom of the crossbars? I need to know if I'll have space/clearance to attach my RTT crossbar security mounts/locks
5. Please confirm/correct the dimensions of the crossbars...noted as 2x1".
6. How tall are the side rails of the roof rack (top to bottom)?
7. Please confirm that the rack tapers to follow the R1S's roofline (front to back).

----------------------------------------
<<PROSPEED RACKS RESPONSES>>:
1. The roof rack uses 6061 1/4" aluminum.
2. Weight rating: 300lbs dynamic, 600lbs static.
3. Includes 8 crossbars.
4. Height info is not specified.
5. Crossbars are 2x1".
6. Side rail height is approximately 2” tall
7. Rack uses 50” cross bars it will not taper. There’s a slight overhang in the rear due to the taper of the body. We have an option if you want it to taper to use a 49” bar for the rear

ADDITIONAL NOTES FROM PROSPEED RACKS:
We have customers running a RTT and carrying two full adults and a child without any issues

We use the OEM mounting points that are billet and the side rails and crossbars will be able to handle more than the factory cross bars. There’s overland but like I’ve said from testing an RTT and awning will not exceed the load rating unless the a mounting points can’t support the weight. We’re using the thickest side rails on the market at 1/4” 6061 aluminum. It’s strong. We've run a Land Cruiser with the OVS Bushveld, with two adults, 1 child and a dog, as well as an OVS 270 awning and shower awning...never had an issue.
