Might want to double-check your spelling. There are multiple threads on topics where Rivian re-nigged on features for Gen 1 only to have them on Gen 2.
oh wow. It’s ’reneged.’Where did I say they are "most loyal?"
I have two Gen1s as well, they are the last Rivian products I'll ever buy. I canceled my R2 reservation a while back. I never said they had to update the suspension hardware, did I?
I would really like for people actually read what one types and not insert their own narrative.
There are multiple threads on topics where Rivian re-nigged on features for Gen 1 only to have them on Gen 2. Before you go and say [the hardware is out of date]... Rivian claimed that the R1s would have the best hardware compared to other manufactures. Yet vehicles from 2018 with lesser hardware have more capabilities than Gen 1. Some of those capabilities where touted as "coming" up to and after deliveries.
So you can make excuses all you want for Rivian and RJ. I simply won't praise them for doing the bare minimum.
My GM vehicle has this with built in Google maps.Nice! Wonder if we'll ever see Waze reports integration now that we have the Google Maps backend.
Dude, I love the Gravity and want it to be a massive success, but the software is riddled with bugs. New owners are having tremendous fob key problems. Some are not able to drive their cars. The software is pretty, but only when it is working.I spent some time in the Lucid Gravity recently and I must say, the interior is incredible, the software is really great and of course, many technology options like augmented heads up display and massaging super comfortable seats, and it has CarPlay. I will still buy the Rivian because of its ground clearance and exterior design, but the lucid gravity interior comfort and features and software are far far far better and I wish we had that.
I was curious also. Per Google AI summary, ABRP is not built on Google Maps. It uses its own algorithms for route making. But it does "incorporates data from other sources, including Google Maps and user-submitted information".Does anyone know how this impacts A Better Route Planner (ABRP), the software Rivian purchased? Is it possible ABRP is getting integrated with Google Maps, or maybe already is?
I don't know how it is built, but when Rivian purchased them, I assumed that meant ABRP would eventually become Rivian's in-car navigation system. It seems this isn't the case now. So, what happens to Rivian's investment in ABRP?
I have a paid ABRP subscription and have linked my truck to the app. The data is not as detailed as Electrifi, but it still works really well and has some good reports on charging and trip efficiency.I was curious also. I met Wassym last summer at a SJ event and I mentioned the maps was really bad and he asked what maps Id like better. I mentioned Google and he winked at me and knew they were working on this integration due to so many bad experiences with the current maps. Glad to see its finally coming to fruition.Wassym 2018: "We love in house maps, we'll never use Google"
Wassym today: "We love Google maps!"
Wassym 2018: "We love in house infotainment, we'll never use CarPlay..."
Just checked and Im updating now, sweet! Love how we get a new vehicle every monthThis is now being deployed today!
