On your service invoice doesn’t it tell you the price?

Have you had good luck getting car parts from eBay?
For other vehicles, yes. I haven't had a need for the Rivian yet, knock on my noggin. Why would it be any different? Search by part number you pull off the broken part, or "Rivian handle" and you find parts from salvage vehicles.

What an absolutely bloated expensive and overly complicated part. Same with the charge port door. GET RID OF THESE RIVIAN! Insane. They add unnecessary complication and cost.
Go look at door handle prices for any other newer vehicle; BMW, Toyota, Honda... They're all in the same price range. Even the ones that don't have Bluetooth/NFC or pop out.

The way I see it, Rivian handle are actually cheaper when you add all that tech.

Ahh, a Tesla owner Rivian hater. You are a perfect example of why Tesla owners are getting a bad wrap from others because of these childish keyboard warrior comments. Please grow up and go drive your EV somewhere else away from this group. The objective is to covert ICE owners to EV, not pick fights and spread false jargon about EV’s.
Nowhere in this comment did it have anything to do with Tesla. I love Rivian. And I’ve had a deposit on a R1 since the beginning but stopped to wait it out. Rivian needs to start cutting out needlessly complicated parts that add cost and complexity and they need to do it much faster than they have been. The charge port door example is one that needs to be a simple push button just like an ICE. Why does it have to have an actuator that makes it spin out and be another thing that can break? The cheaper Rivian can make their cars the more chance we all have to buy one and allow the broader public to enter into one too.

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
Gen1: $280
Gen2: $311
On eBay: $120-$250

How many hours of labor were on the invoice?
That's a much more reasonable cost than I would have expected.

Not all are $300, I had to replace the handle lock mechanism (the equivalent to the Rivian part being replaced in this thread) on our BMW i3 last summer. It also has the fob proximity sensor and touch sensors in it. Cost was under $120 directly from our local BMW dealer. I paid for it via phone call to the parts department and they had it at the dealership the next day.
