My '23 R1T 23XXX VIN was compatible. Build date of 4/23. I did not have a manual or powered tonneau on my original build. Atlanta Service Center is already scheduled out to December as the earliest install appointment. Looks like Daddy's getting a powered tonneau for Christmas!

A member of the service team at Rivian called me after the chat session and explained that there was a range of vehicles that were built without the wiring necessary to support a PTC. Kind of surprising, honestly, but if that's the case it's unlikely the ones showing as incompatible will ever get it. Part of me wonders if this is related to some of the other running harness changes like various 12V outlets being present or not. My truck has the frunk 12V, for instance, but not the 12V under the dash.
Weird.

Mine has the under dash (thankfully) but not the frunk. I think yours is the first of heard where it's the opposite.

Yeah, I wish mine was the other way around. Unclear if it was dash and funk parts that dictated it or if the harness is actually different. I haven't gone exploring to see if the wiring is there for the dash 12V or not.

Are they using this one for warranty replacements from the old one?

I was just told that my T isn't compatible, I have a very low 15k vin. The weird thing is, that I had this at the service center in July about to have the v1.5 cover installed and the service guys told me to hold off till the V2 because it was better. So I'm not sure why my truck would work with the 1.5 but this v2 is not possible.

Also to add, I have rails already in the bed trim and use a manual cover that slots into them, so it isn't that. Rivian on the phone also confirmed that Gen 1 are compatible with this cover.
Got a call back saying my T isn't compatible because of the wiring harness, which feels like a kick in the balls. So there's a small gap between when they announced PTC going way in Oct 22 and a bit later where I guess they decided an entirely new wiring harness was the smart thing to do and then go back. Mine was manufactured like a week after that, fun. They did offer 50% off the manual cover, but I already built one. No answer on why the service center had my truck ready to install the v1.5 with parts on hand and its not compatible with this one.

That's seems like an easy fix... See attached.

23 Gen 1 R1T 23xxx vin (1 12 v battery, no frunk or front row 12 V power port), eligible and booked a service appointment for an install. The service rep said not all 23xxx vins are eligible. Also said it was a very popular reason for service calls today
Dammit. I'm 23,xxx and I was getting all excited about being an automatic yes

Guess I'll call to be sure.
